For several years, my family and I used to eat here regularly, as they have an all you can eat Mongolian BBQ and a buffet with decent Chinese dishes.We stopped coming here last year after a bad experience. They took away my glass of coke, which was more then half full, while I was getting some food. When I complained about it in first instance, they refused to give me a new drink, and told me I could order a new one. Only after insisting to speak to the manager I got a new drink. The second complaint was that the buffet was half empty, and it was still early in the evening. On the positive side, the wok dishes are well prepared and tasty, and the buffet does have good choices. However with 2 all you can eat Asian restaurants in Hoofddorp, Shabu Shabu and Itoshi, they are not that unique anymore.They have 2 options: wok and buffet - euro 17.50 and 19.50 Friday to Sunday, and Asian Special, where you can also order a la carte specials, euro 21.90 and 23.90 respectively.

Took a walk from my hotel, very industrial (and poorly maintained) area close to Schiphol airport.Random find but really great one. The place looks great, service is excellent, and food is best of all. Tasty and looks fantastic.Glad I found it!

This was my first visit to Shabu Shabu in Hoofddorp. I'd visited another restaurant of theirs in Amersfoort and had an idea what to expect.It didn't disappoint. Excellent food, great service and fantastic value for money.Will look to visit the next time I'm in town.

Need to say about the kitchen...I will never forget your tasty mushroom soup...and that amazing chicken with Russian salad...omg, it was soooo delicious! The place is very nice and even swans are swimming in the canals! The people working there are so kind, hospitable and nice! It was a great pleasure to have dinner in this cafe! Miss this place very much!

The restaurant is very stylishly decorated and has a nice view of the lake. Staff are very friendly and attentive and we were surprised about the quality of the food. Apart from the menu they have a set menu with the choice of 2 dishes, but they also allowed us to shuffle a bit with some dishes from the regular menu. The starters choice of the chef is highly recommended. I was very happy to have discovered this restaurant in my local area!

Nice place for dinner with a group. To make a reservation you need to be sure they got the message. Last time out reservation went wrong, but they still could serve us (group of 12). Quality of the food is good. The show of preparing the food is really an attraction.

Don't go somebody else wrote. We often do all you can eat sushi. We know them all over world, many in Nethetlands. This one is terrible. The pictures they show is false advertising, incomparable with their reality. Double rice, is what they do. Sashimi salad? A joke. I never found fish in the salad. Hand rolls with almost no fish and is only big rice roll. Disgusting. And very expensive. We won't go back. We told server. Never saw a manager.

Papa's Beach House is wonderful at all season. I had the opportunity to have lunch there and ordered the new winter version of the Cesar's salad. My friends ordered a juicy burger and chicken saté and to everybody food has seemed delicious. We were staying at a nearby hotel and walked about 1km to get here and were very happy that we did. My wife had catch of the day and I had a ribeye, both of them were very good. The restaurant is a cross between a farm style and modern looking restaurant, the decor was very nice. If we're ever travelling thru the area again, we're definitely going to stop in and enjoy another meal here.
