Red Lobster is nicknamed "Dead Lobster" for a reason. At very best, the food is only fair. Everything has been frozen at some time or another and has that been-frozen taste, IMO. Maybe not that poor dying lobster drowning in his own excrement in the tank out front. Though alive, he is dying a slow death. They are boosting prices as their quality goes down. They are increasing their dishes with shrimp in them but who knows where it is farmed and raised? Thailand? I'm not eating it. The staff is great, I wonder if they are ashamed of the dishes they place before customers? They ought to be. I have travelled very widely and know what good seafood is. It is much better to educate yourself on how to prepare it yourself and do it yourself at home. Good luck finding truly fresh seafood in Roanoke Virginia. It is not at Red Lobster.Hi, SinLoi. We thought the tacos we had here were very good; updated contemporary flavor combinations with a twist. Our server, Katie, was a pro. She knew the menu, made helpful recommendations, was super attentive, and was as nice as can be. We were disappointed with the restaurant's website; the menu there was not consistent with what we were given at our table, and it did not list any of the beers available on tap. We were also disappointed with the reservation situation; when we arrived, the employee at the host stand informed us they don't take reservations for groups of four. She dismissed the fact that Chris Wade, the Cabo Operations Manager, has responded to our email reservation request for four people, "Iâll have your name written down at the host stand."Hey MikeThanks for the review and feedback. I am happy that you enjoyed your tacos and very disappointed that the hostess did not honor your request. We do not normally take reservations for smaller parties, but I was copied on that email and noticed that Chris confirmed it. I will definitely find out what happened and get to the bottom of it. So sorry for the confusion. I will let Chris know also. Hopefully you did not have to wait long and that you will not let this mistake stop you from visiting us again. Hope to see you soon. Thanks,Gary

Being new to the area we are trying to patronize different restaurants each weekend. Our family of 5 enjoyed a wonderful lunch on a horribly rainy Saturday. Our food was delicious and our server great. Looking forward to coming again in the near future. Wonderfully casual and perfect for families with children. A little bit hidden to find but worth it.

For almost the last year we have been coming to the quarter because itâs the only Cajun restaurant in the area that had a REALLY decent etouffe. Itâs still list on the trip advisor menu, but they have removed it from the menu. When I asked they said they didnât have the ingredients to make it anymore. Sad thing is the things it takes to make it are staple ingredients included in many of their other dishes. Theyâve lost a customer who used to come several times a month and ordered through one of the delivery services. So sorry to hear of your disappointment at the loss of the etouffe. We enjoyed the dish as well but unfortunately it was not a great seller. We would have been happy to make it for you but to make it properly all the ingredients need to simmer in a pot for a few hours. Keep an eye on our Facebook page as we plan to run etouffe as a special periodically.

Wallerâs is a family-friendly restaurant located in Crystal Shores Marina Resort on beautiful Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia. We offer the most unique dining experience the lake has to offer. Relax beside the water, listen to live music, and enjoy the cu
Waller's was a good stop on Sunday evening after a day on Smith Mountain Lake. It is very casual so come as you are. If very hot opt for inside rather than one of the many outdoor tables (most are shaded with umbrellas). Special was 50 cent peel-and-eat shrimp which were good though slightly overcooked. The beer was cold and there was a huge selection. I had pork BBQ with chocolate added, unique and not bad for a change of pace. The children were pleased with their choices and everyone cleaned their plates. Other favorite menu items were the grilled chicken salad and the Santa Fe wrap. Prices were reasonable for a waterfront eatery. The one exceptional factor was the excellent service by attentive, efficient Miranda. She handled young and old expertly. The entire staff seemed friendly and the management solicited our opinion. It was a busy place at a busy time but we were able to relax and enjoy.I'm glad your family enjoyed a good meal on the water with us! I know it can be a challenge for kids to clean their plates, so I'll take that as a compliment. Our team works hard to make every guest feel welcome and well taken care of, so it's great to hear Miranda did just that. Hope to see you again soon! Best,Waller, Owner
