Reviews on Seafood food in Gloucester, Massachusetts, United States. With its sandy North Shore beaches, rocky outcrops, green parks, hemlock woods and wild estuaries full of shorebirds, it is no wonder that Gloucester has attracted such a rich and diverse artists' community. Fitz Hugh Lane, Winslow Homer and John Sloan are just some of the artists who have taken inspiration from Gloucester's beautiful surrounds. Still boasting dozens of galleries and boutiques, as well as museums, theaters and an artists' colony, the city's art scene clearly continues to thrive.

The Gloucester House restaurant is renowned for its local lobster dishes and for the freshest North Atlantic seafood, prepared to perfection. Having been among the first to popularize fried calamari, our specialties range from award-winning clam chowder t
We had a relaxing lunch at The Gloucester House, dining outside on the porch overlooking the harbor. Everything was fresh and well-prepared. The sole in lemon caper sauce was quite good, with a strong lemony flavor. The lobster roll was also a highlight. Service was friendly and efficient. Recommend.

We stopped here on our way to Rockport and had a great dinner. Fast service, good food and very reasonable. We've been here before and this stop was just as enjoyable.

This Italian seafood menu hits all the right notes. The food was great. I really enjoyed the stewed clams with beans. The appetizer of whipped ricotta, pistachios and micro greens was inventive. The bolognese was one of his favorite iterations of the classic. We are already planning to visit again.

This is a terrific spot. Excellent drinks, delicious break and wonderful food. The salads, fish, lobster, clams, everything is delicious...and the service is perfect. We went twice in five days, and would have gone back had time allowed. Don't miss it...the best in Gloucester.

This place is unbelievable, prices are reasonable and portions are HUGE, their cup of clam chowder is a bowl any other place and it is excellent. I had the steak tips and they were exceptionally good. Everything they have is great, only downside is it is a cash only place.

I usually only give 4 or 5 star reviews. The Seaport Grill was just - mediocre. Yes, there are big portions , but big portions of blah food. I can only base this on one experiene there. First, our waiter was very welcoming, so happy to see us, cheerul cheerful. And then he barely appeared again. We had to ask other waiters for another drink, etc. huh ??I had the â Mexicanâ haddock. I am a New Englander and I know I like haddock. This was a bland piece of fish with what could best be called a â hunkâ of avocado next to it. Not sliced avocado or guacamole, just a lump of avocado. The plate also had some very bland ( out of a jar?) salsa next tomthe fish. Tasteless. The whole thing was a sad presentation. My husband had the baked stuffed lobster, a dish he has ordered many times here and there. He said it was overcooked with tough shrimp in it. OK, not poison, but poorly prepared. The only thing that kept us from registering a complaint was that a second waiter ( not â ourâ missing waiter)brought us a second glass of wine and it was a big pour. So, disappointing. Go there if:OK food is ok with you.Presentation doesnt matter. You want a big portion or not poisonous food.Sorry.We are sorry to hear you were disappointed in your visit and we fell short of our usual high standards. Your feedback is appreciated and we sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you experienced. I have been to this restaurant once before and it has consistently been terrific. Last night was excellent. From the well prepared food to the service and the friendly ambiance it was a great meal. Try the Paella which is truly excellent. Definitely worth checking this place out.
