Pearl + CO - Oyster Bar on the Hobart waterfront (in the Mures complex). Freshly shucked oysters, fresh seafood and appetising bar food inspired by Tasmania's beautiful produce. Located right on the waters edge and perfect to enjoy a classic cocktail, spe
We had lunch sitting inside at Pearl & Co. where there are good views of the ships and people passing. We felt we were really lucky to get a seat We had battered Gummy Shark (fresh and tender) and polenta chips. For dessert we had lemongrass creme brule which we loved because we could taste the lemongrass. Service was helpful, timely, and friendly. Pearl & Co. provide a great value for good seafood on the waterfront.Dear Staidthere, It is our absolute pleasure to have been able to provide you with a memorable experience of our local seafood! The Tasmanian Gummy Shark on our menu is often unloaded straight from the boats in Victoria dock, directly in front of our restaurant. We have passed your compliments along to our staff, who were thrilled to receive your feedback. Please do come and visit us again, the weather is only going to get more pleasant from here on out! Many thanks,Pearl + CO

Blue Eye is a quality seafood restaurant on Hobart's waterfront, cooking fresh and tasty local fish and seafood. It has a modern menu specialising in grilled fish dishes, seafood platters, and fish and chips.Try some local Bruny Island oysters or Spring B
The Blue Eye came highly recommended to us, so we made it our first dinner stop in Hobart. It could have been much better. Our server did not have any knowledge of the wine list and limited knowledge of the menu. From the time we ordered, it took 45 minutes to get our meal--very disappointing.I had the blue eye, which was slightly overcooked, while the roasted potatoes that came with it were undercooked. My wife had paella--plenty of good seafood, but the rice was overcooked and mushy. The food was so mediocre that we passed on dessert.
Where to eat Pub food in Glenorchy: The Best Restaurants and Bars
As a local, I noticed the tradies congregating around Mermaid's and took that as a good sign that there would be tasty, well-priced food on offer. I wasn't disappointed. It's not a restaurant, it's a takeaway, so the Trip Advisor rating system is a wee bit wonky: I mean, it's not a dine-in experience so 'atmosphere' and 'service' are kind of irrelevant. (Having said that, this has become one of my 2 favourite takeaways and everyone's always very nice.)I highly recommend the battered fish; big portions, good pricing, the fish is always tasty and the batter is always crisp. They have a huge range of food available, including full takeaway meals like roast with veg and gravy or curried sausages. If you're looking for good, hearty and well-priced takeaway in the Moonah vicinity, this is the place. Bear in mind they cater to the shift workers though, so they start very early and are finished by 5pm.
