The Swan Restaurant & Grill offers a relaxing atmosphere with an exquisite cuisine to match. The restaurant consistently offers authentic dishes, with a fusional twist to please every palate. The modern restaurant, that is settled in quiet boutique hotel
I have to admit to being dubious when I saw 11 five-star reviews all from people who had only ever reviewed this restaurant. However we all decided to give it go. The greeting from staff on arrival was friendly and professional and that continued through the whole night. Mohammed and Theodora were excellent. What a great eclectic mix of dishes on the menu something to suit everybody and everything we ordered was delivered quickly, hot and all together. The owner came and greeted us at the table and made an effort to ensure everything was of a good standard, really nice touch. The food was delicious the wine excellent. Not the cheapest place but worth every penny. Wine is 185,000 a bottle. Starters range from 50,000 to 115,000 and mains vary greatly. For starters, mains, deserts and copious amounts of wine it was about 500,000 each. Toilets incredibly high standard. This is definitely somewhere we will go back to. Dear Enny,Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review of your visit to Swan restaurant & Grill.I am so pleased that you enjoyed your time with us.My team will be absolutely delighted! I really enjoyed eating with friends at The Cube. There is a view of the sea and we were entertained by a crowd of young men fishing on a wharf and swimming. The chef came out (probably because he knows one of my friends) and he was happy to make a slight adjustment to the menu to accommodate my tastes. At this time, Sierra Leoneans seem very happy to see all the foreigners who have come to help overcome the epidemic so this degree of warmth and special attention may be related to that as much as to their natural welcoming nature.
Felt special with warm welcome from staff and hostess. Lovely home feel. Sea breeze and views were breathtakingly. My son had the best fries ever. The cook even came out to meet us after a lovely dinner. Wifi, clean water, drinks, ice at your disposal. Check out fresh mangoes on the trees when you visit

Light House is known for its great Friday night buffet that includes fresh fish, shrimp, langostines and all sorts of great dishes and dessert. It has a lovely outside area and a live local band on Friday. The owner pays attention and makes sure service, which can be wobbly at times, stays on track. Upscale local clientele with a smattering of expats. Enjoyed it every time I was there.

Perfect spot to tie off a long day of âK Kâ touring in Freetown. The beachside pizza, salad, and hummus joined by cold, draft star really hit the spot!

Florence (the wife) and Franco (the hubbie) faces a lagoon, which depending on your point of view can be relaxing or boring. I came here several times for the exceptional fish carpaccio and the tomato salad as appetizers. The fish was good but the lobster arrived with a sauce that smothered the freshness and natural taste of the lobster. Service is atrocious. Even though they have you call the day before to order, they still can't serve the main dishes within a reasonable amount of time. Every time we visited we had to wait at least 1.5 hours for the main dish. When you go....make sure you have lots of time and throw away the watch!

Papaya Restaurant is a restaurant located across the street from Aberdeen Beach. It's just down the hill from the Radisson, and near the roundabout between Lumley Beach and Cape Road. If you're at any of the hotels in Aberdeen, you are within walking distance of it, and unlike many other places in Freetown, it has parking space nearby. The food was quite nice, and the prices were more reasonable than I'd thought a place by the beach would be. I ordered the Peanut Marinated beef with fried rice, and like others have said, it is excellently presented with decent serving size. Their appetizers are also quite good, particularly their spring rolls.

Great atmosphere, crowd is a bit young, or recapturing their youth, anyway we loved it but eventually moved on to another late-night spot which was staying open later than here! Parking could be a nuisance but get there early, and youâre fine or just leave your driver to sort that out whilst you hop in to hit the dance floor early. They have a number of bars which are well-stocked and well-served, and they use some (not much) local Sierra Leonean staff with visible responsibility - the place is likely foreign-owned, or profit-sharing with Lebanese/Sierra Leonean citizens. The cocktails are not all that. Would return.
