This is (among other things) a great spot to take a lunch break when driving the A1. It's easy to reach, the food is excellent and it's cheap. We had good pastas (inc. vongole, as it was on the weekend) and tagliati.

We had a lovely dinner in this restaurant yesterday. At first we passed by because it was empty but when we had a closer look we saw how lovely this restaurant and its small terrace in front looked. They serve fresh fish and this was sooooo good and delicious! We got mussels as an appetizer, as a primi we had pici pasta one with anchovy and one fish ragu, delicious! As a second course the fresh fish, with a simple but very refined taste. As a dessert strawberries and Cream :) the chef and his wife were very friendly! Abbiamo scoperto questo bel posticino grazie all'acquisto di un voucher di Groupon. Accoglienza molto cordiale, ambiente piccolo ma carino e pulissimo, ben curato nei particolari. All'esterno uno spazio adiacente al ristorante che probabilmente serve nella stagione più calda per mangiare fuori. Quanto previsto dal nostro voucher è stato perfettamente rispettato, fin nei minimi particolari. Era una cena di pesce, tutto veramente speciale dall'antipasto fino al dolce, pietanze ottime e ben presentate, servizio curato e velocissimo. Lo chef è veramente una persona squisita, sa ben organizzare l'invio dei piatti ai tavoli e sa preparare pietanze superbe. Tutti gli ingredienti utilizzati sono di qualità elevata, il pesce freschissimo, porzioni mediamente abbondanti, ogni cosa cucinata in modo perfetto. Anche volendo sarebbe difficile trovare il più piccolo difetto per la nostra cena, che è stata veramente piacevole e di gusto. Abbiamo trovato molto simpatico il menù, che scritto su un grande cartellone, viene portato ai tavoli per far scegliere ai clienti quello che desiderano. Quindi .... un grandissimo grazie allo staff per la piacevole serata e per l'ottimo cibo che ci è stato servito !!!

What a lovely dinner we had here! The first time in this restaurant was a beautiful surprise for us. We had no expectations but were pleasantly surprised at the high standard and quality of ingredients served here. Our dinner for four was superb and each one of us enjoyed every single course. The menu was cleverly set out so that certain choices are linked together to provide excellent well-balanced set menu alternatives, or it is possible to design your own choices. We enjoyed the tremendous combination of flavours, fresh and summery for a summer night. Every dish a delight. The wine choices were also excellent. We enjoyed our dinner outside under the stars, in a beautiful garden. We were introduced to the chef who has a passion for the food he serves and it shows. Friendly and accommodating service. We just cannot wait to return!

Four days into our trip, and finally we have a meal that is authentic and to die for! After a long day, we were looking for somewhere close to where we we're staying. We hit jackpot! Our server, the owner, made us feel welcome immediately upon arrival and everything just got better from that point on. Everting was fantastic, the appetizers, the main courses, the second courses, the wine, the dessert, the after dinner drinks, ALL SUPERB!!!! Everything ordered by everyone was absolutely two thumbs up! Appeared to be a locals restaurant, which probably speaks volumes of what we are reviewing here. Prices were VERY reasonable, especially compared to what we have been paying and getting elsewhere so far. This restaurant is run by a family, and their commitment to quality and service shows. The only negative thing I can say, is that we will be leaving the area tomorrow and won't have a chance to eat here again. â¹ï¸

We were in Foiano della Chiana for 3 weeks and went 6 times to this excellent restaurant. The food was always good; a very good selection of fish and the staff were exceptionally friendly. I'm surprised this restaurant is not number 1 because they really deserve it. Don't pass up on the chance of coming here, you won't be dissapointed!!Love this restaurant!!
