Roennes Hotel is known for its high standard and its mannered and polite service. Our capable chefs put an honour in making well cooked meals and as much as possible is made from the bottom. Our location by the sea makes fresh fish and fish specialties a
We choose the 2 course menu offered by the smiling and forthcoming waiters (who were not overworked, due to only 4 tables being occupied in the middle of the Summer high season). The menu was of surprisingly high quality and very fairly priced (which also goes for the wine), which combined with good service brings us to a 4 star rating, as the bland restaurant decor etc. would only qualify for 2 star rating.

The lunch menu is very simple. Specialty is mussel with different flavours of ex. garlic, saffron, schnapps & apple or curry, apart from mussels they have 1 dish of herring and 1 with mix of fish and shrimpsService was good but the waiting time was too long. We were a group of 8 all ordering mussel with 3 variations of flavour, and it took 40-50 minutes before service. Not good but it was worth waiting for. Not pricy from a Danish perspective, DKK 155,-

We were staying at Slettelstrand and took an evening to walk down the beach to Strandhuset Tranum. What a great experience. The food was excellent - fancy but not snobbish. There was something for everyone (including my teenagers). The wine was really nice as well, and we very much enjoyed talking with the owner. All in all a wonderful experience! Thanks - we'll be back next summer, for sure!
