I had a lovely evening in this restaurant in the hills just behind Belmonte Calabro. A delicious pasta made with figs, bacon and aniseed. And a good fish second course as well. Lovely service and we met the chef at the end of the night. It's a country setting so nice if you would like a break from the beach with some fresher air. Belmonte Calabro the little town nearby is also worth a visit and the local bar in the town serves American breakfasts on occasional Sundays. Fantastic Air BnB near there as well called Ex Convento Cappuccinni.Thanks guys for your feedback and enjoy your trip in Calabria. See you soon

You'll likely need a GPS to find this cozy little gem, situated on a blind corner of the street on the mountainside behind the seacoast town of Belmonte Calabro. I can't even promise it will be open, and Italian is the only language spoken. I don't speak Italian, but I was invited to sit wherever I liked and and a large open bottle of white wine and a bottle of water were placed on my table. No menu was offered, apparantly the plate of the day being the only choice. First came a small plate of crusty bread pieces covered with anchovies in light oil as an appetizer. The combination was delightful and the taste not overpowering. The main dish was a freshly grilled fish, probably weighing about two pounds, and absolutely pure and delicious; perfectly cooked. A plate of crushed olives and fresh bread accompanied, and a nice coffee finished this perfect meal. The final delight was in the low price I was asked to pay for this great meal.Their business card says open every day, and the phone number is 0982 47097 - 47054. I suggest you check first before making the drive.

Il locale è molto bello, quasi completamente all' aperto, penso sia aperto solo durante la stagione estiva. I prezzi sono nella media, ma il cibo è buono e fresco. Consiglio anche le pizze molto buone! A++++++

Abbiamo freuqntato questo stabilimento per una settimana, mentre eravamo in vacanza in calabria. Il pranzo è ottimo e ogni giorno il menu varia in base all'offerta di pesce, piatti semplici ma molto buoni con una vista stupenda in riva al mare. Il rapporto qualità /prezzo è veramente super

On recent beach trip in the area, we stopped for dinner at this quaint restaurant.Great all in menu with choice of fish or meat - appetizer, lst course & main including wine for 40Euros! We had the meat menu - Gnocchi alla sorentino & grilled steak & pork chop with espresso & amaro with complimentary pistacchio filled pastry! Delicious!We had dinner al fresco, under an umbrella, even though it rained, we stayed dry - wait staff was courteous & friendly. Highly recommend if in area.

Nice Family Run small restaurant with great outdoor seating. Simple surroundings but great food! Call for reservation during summer months. Enjoy the Fixed Menu with a great selection of appetizer, fried fish, swordfish and finish with lemon sorbet! The house wine was disappointing, so order a bottle of local wine.

I do not normally write reviews, but this I should do. This resturant is great, and definitely the best in fiumefeddo bruzio and near the castle. I highly recommend to try this resturant for following reasons:1. The place has very beautiful and unique design. All decorated with precision. The atmosphere makes you happy even before trying the food.2. The staff are all family, very friendly, well dressed, polite and on your table when you need them.3. The food is great. The chief knows how to cook. We ordered vegetarian food and the result was spectacular. The plate full of surprises.4. The desert is some thing you will never forget! They are the master of desert!!!5. The price is totally fair! We ordered one dish spaghetti, one dish vegetarian, one desert, one glass mineral water, one Fanta + bread, extra appetizer and .... all cost less than 25 euro! I will definitely be back for that resturant. Why not try a very good resturant in a beautiful ancient village. Dear guest,thank you so much for your many wonderful things.We are happy and proud to know that you enjoyed our menù and location.We hope to see you again and we send you the best regards.

We had eaten here previously but decided to visit with some new friends.The views from the restaurant are fantastic and a window table is a must.We were not particularly hungry so did not fancy a full 3 course meal.We opted to have the hot and cold seafood platters. The cold seafood platter consisted of at least 10 different types of fish from squid, prawns, mussels, with many others that we could not identify but all tasted delicious.This was followed by a hot seafood platter with 6 different types of fish some of which were grilled and others lightly fried.This was followed by dolci and coffee. The gelatos were amongst the best that I have had in Calabria.A very good dining experience.

After arriving at our nearby hotel we were dropped here to get lunch. It was a nicely appointed place and the food was better than I expected.Tasty bruschetti, excellent seafood salads and rissottos, and lots of fresh, tasty bread to accompany the meal. Why the name I have no idea.
