The food is very good, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Our group had: The Cowboy burger, "amazingly good and messy", Greek Salad, "Fresh, generous and good", Fish and Chips, "not greasy and very good", Onion Rings, "Also not greasy".The desserts looked very good, but we were full.

The setting, the view, that's all terrific. The food was very good, not great. A couple of things left me less than excited as this was my first visit there. First, we were offered a table "on the covered terrace". The fact that it was immediately next to the bar as well as a table of ten was not mentioned. It was very noisy. Yes, I and the rest of our party are no longer young and therefore find the noise level more objectionable than we would have many years ago. However, the lovely young lady at the reception podium should have, I believe, been conscious of those factors. Anyhow, we survived and I was having images of a nice baked two pound lobster like the one we get at Bay Point in Quincy --- also with a nice water setting. BUT, when I asked about it I found out the lobster was a 1 1/4 pounder I lost interest. I think they call them chicken lobsters, but whatever it is called I would call that size totally inadequate. Oh, and the very nice hot rolls didn't reach us until almost when our dinners came out. So, pluses and minuses, but I doubt that I would take the hours ride it was for us again.Hi Murray300,Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear your visit did not exceed expectations. Five us dined here (7/11) and we were all very happy with our choices. This restaurant should be rated much higher than it presently is. Food was awesome. Restaurant service was excellent and is very clean. We will certainly be back soon . My wife had the fish stew and it was loaded with seafood, two of us had portuguese steak and they were cooked perfectly , tender and delicious.

We were headed to another restaurant when we arrived it was closed on Tuesday so my brother recommended this place and We was not disappointed! The service top notch our food and drinks were awesome and the place that I remembered brought back all the past memories. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon after 2 PM. The restaurant was busy, even though it was late for lunch. There were approximately 15 specials, in addition to the multi-page menu. After much thought, I selected the mini-filet mignon and 2 baked/stuffed shrimp. There were a variety of choices for the two veggies. I selected mashed potatoes and butternut squash. I also enjoyed a glass of iced tea. My meal arrived quickly. The serving was enough so that I could bring 1/2 home. The petite filet was about 6" by 3', a very good size and broiled exactly to my liking. The waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. She checked on my progress a few times and returned with a full glass of iced tea when she saw I was getting low. I didn't have room for dessert, but there were a variety of choices here, as well. There is a take-out area for people to pick up items. There is also a function room for parties and small weddings.

Entertained a friend the other night. Wanted to be sure that the food, ambiance and service would meet expectations and it certainly did. Wonderful food and amazing service from Joe. My husband ordered one of the specials and it was grilled Sea Bass from Portugal. He said it was flavorful and cooked perfectly. I was on the mood for chicken and the portion was so large that I took half home and ate it the next day.Our guest enjoyed her shrimp. We have eaten at many of the Portuguese restaurants in Fall River but TA is the best. Food is always consistently great. Thanks Kevin and to all the staff at TA.

Been going to White's for years. I would have complained today but we took my mother in law out so I didn't say anything. First, its Saturday and usually there is warm bread, dark and light slices with a dipping oil. Today we got cold rolls. I mean COLD out of the fridge. No dipping oil.My turkey dinner was not what it used to be. Small portion for the money... and the turkey was tough, there were pieces of cartilage attached to the white meat....and the stuffing was dry, it seemed old. I've always had a good fresh huge turkey dinner here so this surprised me. I hope this is just a one time thing so I'll be kind rating it. Rita would not like hearing this.Hi Janet! Thank you for sharing your comments, and for being such a loyal customer! I would like to apologize that you did not enjoy your most recent experience with us at the Galley Grille. I'm not sure what time you and your mother-in-law joined us on Saturday, but we typically only offer the bread with dipping oil for dinner service. I assure that if you had asked your had asked your server for oil, she would have been happy to provide you with some! We are saddened to hear about your turkey dinner as this is one of our top menu items! Since seeing your comments we have spoken to the kitchen staff about the importance of consistency to ensure each guest has a wonderful meal every visit. I hope you will give us another chance sometime soon and allow us to make it up to you!

If you are going for lobster, call ahead to be sure they have some. I was disappointed the first time we went because I was craving lobster. Next time, still no lobster, but I was ready for that. Good food, good portions.

My friend and I go often. Outside bar is great if you are male .They get service ASAP women who come in 20 minutes earlier are still waitng.If you order food and pay seperately .Then you dont eat at the same time. In other words WOMEN COME SECOND AND EAT SEPREATELY FROM THERE COMPANOIN. CUSTOMER SERVICE CLASSES ARE NEEDED.

My wife and I ate at Sagres Portuguese Restaurant with another couple. The restaurant decor is upscale and atmosphere quiet enough to have a conversation during dinner. We ordered four entrees to share: paella (excellent), shrimp Mozambique (spicy and delicious), monkfish and shrimp (very good), veal marsala (outstanding). The portions are so large, that we took away two boxes of leftovers for future lunches. Our server was friendly and attentive.
