Posh Fish & Chips
Often go in here at weekends. The food is really good. Bit frustrating when after the shops great opening I went on one day and the card machine was âbrokenâ. So trekked over to Tesco, (there is no continuous pedestrian path) then the next time the excuse was the WiFi affecting card transactions so cash only. The third time no signs were up so I thought, hooray, back in business. But no, cash only. Apple Pay signs everywhere but you canât use that either. Today-I clearly gave my order-twice, after confusion the first time-and was rudely told to, âbe clearer next timeâ. Irritating that itâs now cash only and narked about attitude towards customers. At the outset, we were always offered complimentary homemade coleslaw but I notice thatâs stopped too. If you want to maintain custom maybe you might want to restore all the great touches you had at the start. I have a car so can easily go back to Maurizosâs in Inverkeithing, used to be my regular and score top points in every department.

To say the service is excellent does not do them justice. There was a misunderstanding when we arrived re last orders to the kitchen Etienne the manager sorted this out with such good grace. It was my aunts birthday and was so wanting everything to go well. Etienne brought her a complimentary glass of fizz - a nice touch. The food was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. Go treat yourself!

Very busy when we visited on a Sunday afternoon. We all had the carvery which at £12.50 per person was excellent value. Plenty of choice and help yourself to meat/poultry etc with all the trimmings. Food appears to be rerplenished fairly regularly and was hot unlike some other buffets we have been to. Would visit again and could recmmend to others. Rebecca was our main server and she was very pleasant and helpful.Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a positive review regarding your recent visit to our Botanist Restaurant, we are delighted you enjoyed your time with us, we hope to see you again. Visiting family in Dunfermline from NY. First time trying Armandoâs Fish Bar and it is excellent. Fresh haddock & chips - crispy but not overdone. HUGE line on a Friday night so go early. Worth the 30 min wait. Went back on Wednesday and no line at 6:30pm. Excellent food and value. Must go!

This chippy provides by far the best fish supper in Dunfermline. The fish itself is sublime - gorgeous crispy batter and beautiful flaky fish and the chips are just right.Other highlights from here are the dinner meat and the sausage suppers. Fantastic food!
