Authentic Indian and Bangladeshi Restaurant situated in the historical town of Dornoch. You will find it in the Dornoch Retail Park next to a spa.
The eat in Indian was friendly with attentive staff and good value for money. Poppadoms and Naan were good. A friends mixed tandoori was excellent. My lamb nahari was good but sauce a bit thin. Cutlery etc all clean. The neighbouring table were returning visitors and spoke highly. Overall an acceptable but not memorable meal. The chipper next door merits a separate listing. The fish supper was fine. The batter wasn't heavy or under cooked. Fish was a reasonable portion. I was less impressed by black pudding supper. Pudding seemed cheap and not battered. Everything was cooked fresh and establishment seemed clean on my visit but I could see how at busy times the cook and small number of staff could get overwhelmed. However they are polite and trying hard. On balance I'd say I had reasonable service at good value but I might have been lucky. I'd avoid anything other than fish and chips but things were cooked freshly.

Arrived to find restaurant fairly full, so had a table outside, thought it must be good as it was busy. How wrong can you be !! We ordered Chicken & Chips & Whole tail scampi & chips with mushy peas. Could'nt believe the chips when the meals arrived. Not a single whole chip that you could eat. I went through to complain about the state of them, they looked like the scrapings from the bottom of the fryer. The waitress said she would get us another bowl of chips. They arrived and were no better, just scraps. The meals were dear enough if they had been good, so we complained when we went to pay. The bill was over £30 , for the 2 meals & 2 x orange & lemonade drinks & charged for the extra bowl of chips !! We eventually paid just over £20, which was still far too much. We noticed other diners had the same rubbish chips. Will never be back there again
