We visited this chippy a few times whilst staying at the holiday park. The chips tasted good and i thoroughly enjoyed the kebab with mint and yogurt sauce. There was no salad available for kebab which seemed odd seeing as theres a supermarket directly opposite. There was no jacket potatoes either but im guessing it was due to it being end of season

Love being able to go to a place that serves fresh fish straight from the local waters.Rockfish is a lovely restaurant and the staff are helpful and friendly. Like the fact you can have salad or chips so gives you the healthier options. I would like a more varied starter offering but either way always have a nice meal there and the curried mushy peas are to die for!. Great menu for the children but the pack they revive is not great would rather just have some colouring pencils and paper.

Fresh, local seafood restaurant, serving responsibly sourced seafood, simply, in a small & intimate setting. The menu includes regularly changing specials inspired by the freshest seasonal produce as well as a wide range of seafood favourites.
We called in here quite by chance at lunchtime. The very friendly owner came to us straightaways with the menu which was extensive. We decided to have their "doorstep" crab sandwiches which were delicious and filled with plenty of fresh crab which had been caught that morning. The young man who served us was very pleasant and explained that the restaurant had not been open for long. The decor was simple, tasteful and immaculate. We will certainly go back, probably for an evening meal.

Traditional Fish & Chip restaurant and takeaway, situated just off the seafront on the beautiful seaside town of Teignmouth. On Mondays we do gluten free days.
Visiting family in Teignmouth weâd seen this place earlier and that it was open until 9:30 on Fridays and planned our evening meal for four here. Walked in to the restaurant at 8:15, there were no customers in there. As we approached one of the two waitresses looked at her watche and said something to the other. On opening the door she said to us âweâre closing now, no more ordersâ. and that was the end of that. Thankfully we found a lovely seafood restaurant around the corner which welcomed us and made the best Fish & Chips weâve had in years. I guess it worked out for us in the end, just not with the frosty reception at Finn McCools.

We are a family of commercial fisherman with two working fishing boats. The Crab Shack is a small restaurant on the back beach in Teignmouth where we serve fresh seafood.
Have heard about this place for years and finally managed to go for lunch. Booking is advised as itâs bijou (!) and understandably popular. Good range on menu even for non-seafood lovers. We had the lamb which was very tasty. We also had the Devon Sole and Monkfish. All well seasoned and cooked and delicious. Nice variety of sides- the Fries can easily be shared between two. One improvement would be more to have some fish available filleted. Service was very helpful and patient. Couldnât change the side served with lamb which is a little unusual. All round though, a lovely place- even if the uncooperative weather didnât allow us to enjoy what Iâm sure wouldâve been the lovely views!Hi 852BinduaThanks for this great review. We are so happy you enjoyed your visit. Our chef creates the specials with locally sourced ingredients that he feels compliment each other however he is always willing to adjust dishes to suit your requirements. Iâm sorry if you were told that you couldnât on this occasion however in future this wont be a problem. In regards to the fish, we have a lovely selection of whole and portioned fish. We like to serve some of our fresh fish whole as one it maximises the flavour of the fish when it is cooked on the bone and two it encourages our customers to get involved with the produce and have a go at filleting a fish themselves. In future please do ask us as if the chef is not too busy he will happily fillet the fish for you before cooking it. We look forward to seeing you again

Driving up to it over the bridge, one is distracted by the wonderful water view and the boats, although there is not much designated parking space on the other side of the road, It is believed that there is additional car parking to the side. This country pub is definitely dog friendly and is evidenced by the water bowl just outside the front door and by the number (2) well-behaved dogs at, or by the tables. On a warm day, the tables and benches in the gardens would provide more than acceptable seating.Access may be slightly problematic for wheelchair users due to the narrow gaps between tables and the stairs to the toilets on the first floor. There is a warmth to the layout of the bar area and there are ample wooden tables and chairs/benches for patrons that were all clean. Our order was quickly taken although only sandwiches were ordered, they were quickly made up and brought to the table. The sandwiches were adequately filled, however the "salad" and crisps were miniscule.Staff were very friendly despite quite clearly being rushed off their feet..

Traditional fish and chip shop take away and eat in cafe. Open all day every day during school holidays. We look forward to your visit to the Jolly Good Fish Cafe in Teignmouth.
Me and a couple friends ventured deep into the Teignmouth backstreets after a wonderful day in the sea. We were all absolutely ravenous and fancied some classic seaside fish and chips, which is how we stumbled across this establishment. We went in and the gentleman behind the counter was incredibly welcoming. He asked us how our day was and made us feel welcome. The waitress in the restaurant, Mia I believe her name is, was incredibly kind and warm and was excellent at serving us. She was very easy to talk to and very efficient at her job, it made our experience 10x better! As for the food itself, it was incredibly high quality for the price. My local chip shop is far lower in quality yet still higher in price. If you want great value for money, the Jolly Good Fish Cafe is the place for you. I had the calamari which was utterly Divine, and I couldnât get enough of the chips and curry sauce. All in all it was very high quality, I was blown away!Iâm yet to find a better fish and chip shop establishment in Teignmouth, I will definitely be going back for more Calamari!Hi, your detailed review is really appeciated and I will ensure Mia receives your great feedback...she is very professional and is a joy to employ. Hopefully see you again soon from Nik and the team.

A stylish, contemporary licensed restaurant using the freshest and best produce to create delicious food served by professional waiters with smiling faces. Try us for great coffee, fabulous stone baked pizza, pasta, homemade burgers (best ever!)and lots o
Great little cafe restaurant in Dawlish town. A bit off the beaten track for the tourists who seem to be a few miles down the road in Dawlish Warren, but great for locals and tourists who want to get the bus, train or just drive to explore the area. The menu is a bit thinned out of late with their once legendary burger menu cut down to just three (beer, chicken and veggie) with a couple of optional toppings. I'm not a massive fan of their latest wine menu either which has been cheapened considerably from some of the fantastic wines they once sold. Get the burgers and wine back on form and you're a solid 5* all day long. PS, they do amazing homemade pizzas tooHello, Thankyou for choosing to dine with us at Jack Sprats, We made the decision to cut down the burger menu as not all of them were popular, we have left the optional toppings as these are the ones that were popular on the old menu. We also tweaked the wine menu as our suppliers stopped selling some of the wines that were on the old wine menu and we could no longer get hold of them, we have also had to keep our prices competitive, We hope to see you again soon ! Best regards,Jack Sprat team
