When we feel like eating the best seafood, as in lobsters, steamers, king crabs, oysters and clams, we end up going to our favorite place over the bridge, the Anchor! Seafood is always fresh, but they also have steak tips to die for! For some, it is a dive, the bar is always busy but because they have a small kitchen, the wait for food is longer than any other restaurant, however, the long wait is all worth it!!! The staff is always attentive!

From the outside of this restaurant, you might think it was a "dive" but we went in after reading that the clams and onion rings were excellent. They were right! Also great salads and very friendly owners. While we were there, a steady stream of take out customers came through, so I got the impression that this is a well-known local place. Don't judge a book by its cover!

Great local restaurant and fish market. Had the 1.5 pound lobster with rice pilaf and cole slaw. Outstanding!!! Definitely will return and try other items as well. Great service and the owner was very personable and ensured our entire Defenders group was satisfied. Very much so! Prices reasonable. Highly recommend.

We stopped by mid-afternoon, so the restaurant wasn’t very busy and staff seemed to be taking a break. The location is great along the waterfront, and the menu with a very good selection.Ordering didn’t take too long, but receiving our food and ultimately paying the bill took numerous requests to other servers to help us. The food was very good and ample.

We sat on the patio, in the sun, with a view of the water. I had the Hot for Teacher and the Old Fashioned cocktails and both were really good. I got the half pound steamed crab with butter. Sooo good! My dad had lobster Mac and we shared apple cobbler. Service was great. Especially when my 2nd Old Fashioned was not good like the 1st one and he took it off the bill.

The best Connecticut style lobster roll I've had anywhere, but I recommend ordering it to go. The wait service was terribly slow. I had to ask for our check twice and then after waiting another ten minutes finally had to go hunt down a member of the wait staff to get it so we could pay and leave.

After visiting sites on the Freedom Trail and taking the water taxi to the Wharf/Aquarium area, we were starving and ready for lunch. I’ve been to Boston twice before and always wanted to try Legal Seafood. Two locals actually suggested eating there. It was right there near the water taxi and there wasn’t a wait. We both ate crab cake sandwiches, fries, and coleslaw. Nothing fancy. We had already had seafood (lobster) earlier in the trip and just wanted a simple sandwich. The service was friendly, the food was tasty, and we were seated/served pretty quickly. I will be honest we chose to eat here because of convenience of location and the recommendations, but it was overall a good experience.
