We were visitng lake Como for 2 weeks holidays. Always interested to explore local cuisine and try to search for family run restaurants/cafe. La Grangia deffinetely matched profile of the restaurants we go for. It was quite easy to find since it's located on the main road. You initially enter shop where you can buy cheese & cold meats. Which is fantastic because it gives you opportunity to purchase edible souvenir to bring home. Restaurant was empty we were the only visitors. Room was clean and nicely decorated. The only disadvatage was that there is no windows to enjoy beautifull view. We were offered set menu of cheese/meets plata as a starter, followed by gnocchini (small gbocchi) for 1st course, meet for second course and desert. Price was good and food sounded simple and nice. Starter was fine local meet and chese. Pasta was a dissappointment. We were offered cheese option or meat. I was suprised that meat gravy that was used was canned meat. It's very possible that it was canned locally or even by the owner but it ws not fresh. Owner did not speak very good English so I could not check. Meat for second course was ok, but it was served on the hot plate so you kind of cook it yourself (but it's common for the area). In general the owner is very nice and you can see him trying hard, but he just does not know how to do it well. He looked a bit scared in general that we showed up. I think he has the right idea of what he wanted to deliver but he does not know how. He probably very good as a farmer, but not as a restaurateur. Would recommend for him to put a bigger sign that he has shop with local farmed cheese & meat and bigger sign for reastaurant. Put some tables outside, so that visitors can enjoy amazing view, choose simple dishes but from fresh local ingridients, and learn couple good pasta dishes. I put 3 stars for the efforts.

Ristorante Via Diaz 68 offers every week a different menù of freshwater fish, depending on what the local fisherman catch in his net. It's also always available an alternative menu for non-fish lovers consisting of local products. We have a large room for
The Classic Mario Salad lives again, at a super reasonably priced elegant restaurant in the very heart of Dervio....The same classics with some new twists greets the newcomer or foodies chasing down one of the bests chefs with best menu on Lake Como...superbly selected GREAT wines that really enhance the meal...just ask Mario what goes best with what you ordered....You will love, have eaten over 75 times with this chef before....he is the man, for special parties!

Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Seafood dishes seemed most popular. We tried the seafood pasta and the sea bass since both were recommended by people we had met in town. The appetizers were very good as was the wine.

We loved Da Luigi. The service was super friendly, the ambiance very relaxing and homey and the food excellent. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Service from the excellent English-speaking staff was prompt, efficient and friendly. We saw smiles and shared a few laughs. Always a good sign. My wife had the salmon and she was very pleased. Two of us had the cotolleta Milanese and it was delightfully tender and tasty. The fourth in our group had a vegan pasta. With wine and desserts we paid E85. I uncondintionally recommend this place. We preferred it to the other restaurant in town mainly based on the friendlier atmosphere.

A gorgeous spot on the lake. Beautiful view. The food however was on our table in 5min, and just not that great. Especially the pasta was a bit blend.Made it all feel very touristy.

Good family restaurant with good service. Pizzas are huge and would recommend for 2 with a side salad. Pasta dishes nice, in particular seafood one. We shared a meat platter to start and there was enough for 2 or 3 people.

Trattoria dei Platani is a charming family restaurant where you can observe the magnificence of Lake Como, specifically in Rezzonico (San Siro), purely medieval village which over the years has maintained its special characteristics, arrived in this count
Excellent pizzas, good wines, beers, fabulous views. The fact that this place is full of locals, combined with a very busy take away service is proof enough of the quality of the food. Recommended to us by our hotel, we have to agree that this is one of the best pizzerias we have visited to date. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the size and quality offered. There are numerous fish specials every day and the fish coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled wonderful.Hopefully we will return one day to Lake Como and this will be on our list to visit again.

Veranda is many things, it's a lounge bar, a restaurant, a funny place on the beach and an home made ice-cream parlour. Ideal for business lunch, romantic dinner or just for a drink after dinner!
Came for lunch and enjoyed the great location right next to lake and decent food and good service. Dinner was a little less special as same menu no specials, tepid monk fish lacking the va va vroom its outside premises appears to promise. Casual dress, next door to camping site. Would revisit for lunch and maybe give second chance try, maybe more local pizza and pasta, overall it's nice location and ok service just not as special food wise as it looks. Apparently great drinks terrace on roof, so maybe a bit more a couples and young persons place.

Me and my boyfriend have been in the restaurant and the food is great! The Chef is really nice and funny. He made some jokes with me and then he invited us to drink some of his self made Limoncello. It was a really pleasant stay. Thank you so much! I hope I will see you again for some more jokes and more of your awesome pizza!!

For over 20 years the Castelnovo Family ensures an unique food experience on Lake Como through its passion and competence.
Nothing can beet this site, right at the lakefront. Tucked away from the busy street. The Pizza is yummy and we loved their mixed fried fish - both from the lake and from the sea. The staff ist friendly and takes the order in Italian, English or German. The kids menu was our daughters favorite.Thank you for your gentle review. See you
