We had a wonderful lunch at Mehta. The chef, served several âAmuse Boucheâ items and a glass of sparkling Rosé before we ordered. He took a lot of time explaining the source and preparation of each dish. Being in Martina Franca, itâs unlikely they will ever win a Michelin Star, but they certainly deserve one. It was fantastico!

Terra Rossa is a restaurant you should not miss if you are in Cisternino. The staff is extremely professional, friendly and helpful. The environment is very nice. The food is really good! We tried different âantipastiâ and everything was excellent. We really loved this restaurant and we will be back!!One of the best restaurants in Cisternino!

Very slick service, excellent English spoken. A lovely terrace and one of the (relatively) few places in Cisternino that serves pizza plus pasta, meat/fish dishes etc. We had the mixed antipasti for two, shared between the four of us - lots of little dishes such as souffle, black rice, anchovies, aubergine, all delicious. The kids took their leftover pizza home to have the next day. The grilled fish was excellent, as was the pasta with scampi. One of the better value meals of our stay, 79 euros including house wine.

We arrived there by chance, and were greeted with 2 small children in a very family and friendly atmosphere. Everything was delicious, tuna tartare, vegetable donuts and shrimp, steamed ombrina with seasonal vegetables .... Very fine dishes served with delicious wines from the Apulia, a great treat in a casual atmosphere with a very professional staff and attentive. Thank you very much for this very nice day!! We went to this restaurant twice during our stay. The first time was our first day when we had just arrived in the town from the airport during the middle of a massive rainstorm. It was so welcoming and sitting sharing wonderful pasta vongole, fritto misto and orchettite . Given the rain we were in no rush so followed it with a beautifully light and moist apple cake, and molten chocolate cake. it was such a lovely start to what turned out to be a very sunny holiday! We returned about a week later and replicated lunch and it was just as lovely the second time

Visited last week with family. Food excellent and great value for money. Tucked away in a small town but worth the trek.Friendly, homely atmosphere and frequented by local families. Booking a table is a must even if you visit mid week, or go early in the evening as most don't go until 20:30 at the earliest.Definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area.

We visited this restaurant on a recommendation, and found it to be in a quiet back street away from the tourist crowds. The owner Stefano was very welcoming and made us feel at home. There was a very good selection of meals available and good portions. There were a selection of breads and fresh marinated vegetables placed on the table before we had ordered anything.I chose rabbit from the specials which was cooked with rosemary and very tender, accompanied by roasted potatoes. My wife had the mushroom ravioli which was excellent.

The restaurant is located in the town of Cisternino, in a structure dating back @tothe early 1700's which was once the site for the noble art of bread making. The round room, also know as the privèe, used to be one of the first wooden ovens where the local
We ate here on a recent visit to Cisternino. We often try the best rated place on TripAdvisor. The setting is really lovely, down a quaint, narrow, cobbled alley in the old town to a courtyard where tables are laid out to dine in the open air (around 10 tables maybe).Service was pretty efficient but we found the staff rather direct and impersonal, unlike our experience at Giardini 36 which was the total opposite. The food was decent but not exceptional, flavours were good but we thought it was expensive for what we got. Guys we are sorry about this, just because we kept for you our terrace, the most romantic and magic place in Mezzofanti, thinking it was perfect for your date, your anniversary.Kind regards
