I am, for some reason, addicted to the fried chicken here. We usually come for lunch or breakfast, or brunch( weekends). We usually head for the seafood salad first, then go to browse and graze amid the offerings. There are many fried foods, fair selection of veggies, some fresh fruit and canned fruit, and the "wonderfall" of chocolate and sometimes caramel for dipping tidbits of brownie, marshmallows, etc. Depending on I don't know what, the food can be fresh and tasty or mediocre as some have complained. The staff are paid LESS than minimum wage and rely on tips, which, from what we've observed over time, can be scanty. Despite this, the staff are usually smiling and friendly. clearing tables, fetching beverage refills, and stocking the plates and such as well. They do a lot for less than 3 bucks an hour! I commend them and the line cooks in the back who try to provide a good experience for us.

We met some friends here for dinner. Their choice. Everything taste the same to me. It was all just butter and garlic. No seafood taste at all. The lobster was cooked well but had no taste. Drink was watery and service was slow. Can't believe it cost so much to eat here. I'll make it quick. We were a party of six, seated promptly when we arrived for our reservation. Drinks arrived quickly and were well made. Everyone loved their meals. My wife and I both had the same things: the crab cake appetizer and a halibut special for the entree. Both were wonderful. You can find some reasonable wines on the menu. We had two vegetarians with us and they found much to like as well. And they have free parking as if you don't care to valet. What not to like! Yes, it was expensive but not at all out of line considering the quality of the food, service, and beautiful atmosphere.

First of all, you may find the cost of dinner a bit higher than you expected. $18 for fried shrimp, coleslaw and french fries is a bit much. On my first visit I found great service, poor crab Imperial, excellent manhattan clam chowder, which was near the best I have ever had, coleslaw that was disappointing, but I probably expect too much for a seafood restaurant to have the very best coleslaw, above average fried shrimp that were better than you would get at a bar, forgettable french fries, a nice house wine reasonably priced and excellent apple cobbler for desert.Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. I was at a wedding in Fontanas upstairs wedding hall- beautiful! Its a very large area- can cover large wedding receptions. I really loved the lighting, not to dark, but nice warm lighting setting a nice mood. Very traditonal wedding hall feel- lots of gold, lace, and funky carpet. The open bar service was great and the bar tender was friendly, fast and knew his stuff! There are some spots that you can see need some TLC- a few spots in the carpet with stains, chips in the wall, and just overall old decorations but its still a a beautiful hall. The crystal chandaliers where beautiful too!
