We dined at the Catonsville Gourmet on a Friday evening in July. The restaurant offers a nice selection seafood including soft shelled crabs, when in season. The dining is attractive, bright and comfortable. They apparently don't serve liquor (BYOB) since my friend brought his own wine ... I'm not sure if there was a corkage charge. The seafood was good but not exceptional. My wife's soft shelled crabs were too oily and my sea bass was not rare as I ordered. Neither of us finished our entrees. They weren't bad, just not good enough to elimate the need for a travel box. All in all a solid restaurant but not particularly memorable. .

We ordered soup, fried shrimp, scallops, and of course crab. Everything was very tasty, hot and fresh.
Have gone there several times for Seafood. Usually empty, with plenty of seating. Fair Service. No parking. Crabs were mostly small, too spicy; did not have OLD BAY seasoning. Tasted more like JO with hot peppers. Open late. Haven't dined there in a while for those reasons. You can get better carry-out craabs at Captain Dick's in Arbutus. or elsewhere in Catonsville.
