My tour group of 40+ took lunch at Ristorante SettimoCielo on Armistice Day during a visit to the WW2 battlefields of Monte Cassino. The staff were most helpful, accommodating our specific requirements with generosity and grace. Their food was the perfect balance of fresh, high quality ingredients cooked to beautiful traditional standards. The service was fast but did not lack that personal touch that made us feel wanted and welcome. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting Cassino, with its exceptional views of the Abbey from below, Castle Hill and the town of Cassino from above combined with a quality of service and food that I will find hard to match in Italy.

Grazie ancora A presto...

Small restaurant tucked away around a small square. It is worth looking for! I had a chicken dish that was delicious. Chicken breast sautéed with crispy onion bits, cheese, green olives and white wine with a fresh salad. Including drink it was 14 euro.It was not crowded when I was there. The owners teenage son came in with 6 friends and Mom took all their orders! It is not fancy but the food is good.
I am a happy Italian, artisan with hands in dough, I communicate Made in Italy combining tradition with the enthusiasm of revisiting. My greatest pride is to have the privilege of spreading the primacy of our varieties and to sign it with my personal conc
Felice and Consuelo are a great team. We were treated like family from the second we stepped in the door. The food that came out of the kitchen was Michelin quality! Very creative cuisine and extremely delicious. Pasta made in house. Fresh seafood. Highly recommend this restaurant. A hidden gem in Cassino, and worth the trip if you are in a neighboring city. I Will be back again!

We found this restaurant after struggling to find somewhere to stop for lunch on our way back to Rome. It was lovely, our waiter was incredibly accommodating and the food was all excellent. Itâs just off the motorway but looks out on the countryside so feels like you could be miles away.

Giorno di chiusura: Domenica sera e Lunedi intera giornata.
Wandered around the centre of Cassino (why?) looking for somewhere to eat. Somewhat fortunately came across Gallon L. The antipasto misto della terra kept on coming and it had some excellent 'sides' added on. Fine service and very reasonable prices. Went again as I had the opportunity.

The ' Flying Dutchman is a pizza restaurant on the banks of a scenic lake , whose sinuous forms reminiscent of a stylized sailing ship built in perfect harmony with the green and the surrounding nature . The attention to detail , the pursuit of quality ,
L'Olandese Volate is situated between Cassino and S.Apollinare, Central Italy. This is not a tourist area, should you be in Cassino (larger town) possibly visiting the Monte-Cassino Abbey,it will be a 10 minute drive and trust me, well worth it!!!The owners welcomed us although we had not made supper reservations. It is on a beautiful trout lake, nautical type restaurant. Indoor and outdoor dinning available. The ambiance is beautiful and the food GREAT.Outdoor/indoor wood burning oven, we had primi (antipasto) a wood burning pizza (delicious), I had trout my husband veal. The tiramisu dessert was fabulous with a short espresso.Have the house wine...it is as good as the bottled. Our meal including tip was 55 Euro.Again, if you are in this part of Italy DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE!!The owners are husband and wife team, very friendly and will give you a little history on the town, this is not only a place to dine, there is seating around the lake and you are welcome to sit around and have after dinner drinks or a coffee.Go and enjoy!!

Even though Cassino has quite a few things that brings tourists to town, including the Abbey, Roman ruins and WWII sites, it doesn't seem many stay there overnight. The town was completely destroyed during WWII and is not particularly attractive today. On a recent two day stay we wandered into the centre of town from the Best Western on the edge of town looking for a decent trattoria. There are lots of cafes, but we found few true restaurants until stumbling onto Locanda D'Amore near the main piazza. It was early for lunch by Italian standards and we were the only ones there. The place is small with about ten tables inside and a few outside. Decor is simple. The menu simple as well with an emphasis on local fare. While waiting for our food we leafed through several of the books on hand that dealt with the local Roman ruins. The white wine was a local varietal and very good. For antipasti I had an assortment of local cheeses and sausage while my wife had a selection of grilled vegetables. Both were delicious. Pasta e fagioli (pasta with beans) is a local specialty which I ordered and did not regret. My wife had fusilli with eggplant. Also delicious.By the time we were half way through our meal, the place was packed - all locals. This was an inexpensive and delicious meal.

Evan's restaurant a cassino In the heart of the city, at the foot of the Abbey of Montecassino and surrounded by the city park, offers itself as a prestigious and exclusive venue for any occasion and ideal place to spend pleasant moments of relaxation whi
Had a very nice meal there but was a little bizarre - the owner insisted we try his father's recipes .. we did, being English, whilst we could have refused. They were nice enough but not really what we'd wanted, however, a good evening and much hilarity was had. Smart, clean and friendly. Yes I would go back.
