Because of the combination of TA reviews and proximity to our hotel, we walked to Sunrise for dinner one weekday night. BTW, it is very poorly marked and this may be deliberate to discourage those who aren't regulars. We must have been tired because we did not immediately pick up on clues that tourists were NOT welcome and then just stayed on. Too bad because the food was definitely good. Great chef and fresh and simple seafood. What spoiled it all was that the service was absolutely hostile, unwelcoming and smirking. Also inept. If you're not a member of the inner circle, skip this as it's not worth the negative experience. This is the only place in Italy we have experienced such treatment.

We stopped in this trattoria for lunch after seeing the castle in Caserta. Wonderful experience. The food was spectacular. The service was friendly and the air conditioning felt wonderful. They had an extensive wine list including wines from Caserta which were very good. Our waiter (unfortunately I didn't get his name) was very helpful and efficient. A great dining experience at a very reasonable price.

We were staying at the hotel and we decide to stay at the restaurant. The outdoors setting, around the swimming pool, is really lovely and in summer definitely the preferred setting. Having a small child, however, we stayed inside - which is a nice setting as well, if less romantic. The food was great, especially the pasta with wild boar sauce was spectacular and among the best we've had all summer. Service was excellent, the waiter made us feel welcome and attended to us perfectly throughout the entire evening with top level charm and availability, outstanding even for the quite high bar of southern Italian restaurants. The whole was crowded by a complimentary pastry warm out of the owen - fantastic. Would definitely come back if in the area!

This restaurant is excellent, hands down. The staff attempts to speak English, and although it isn't strong, they try hard and it is easy to get along. The risotto di mare is outrageously good. The mozzarella and prosciutto is outrageously good. Do your taste buds a favor and go to dinner at Pizzeria San Carlo.

We booked here for a Saturday night; just as well because it filled up very quickly, and when we left people were queuing to get in, all locals. There is a god choice of traditional food and a huge choice of pizzas, all at very good prices. The mixed aperitifs, both seafood and meat were superb and plentiful. My pizza was enormous but very well cooked. Perhaps the local wine was a mistake, but for 5 euros a bottle not a tragedy. The staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. Recommended without hesitation.

We had a great time !! The owner suggested us a special local buffalo steak and that was awesome!! All plates looked very genuine and big portions as well!! We had fritta mista, grilled swordfish and grilled calamari with grilled vegetables as a side dish. All were excellent, and the grilled vegetables wereoutstanding. The service was very good, though there was a single over-worked waiter.The restaurant is well patronised by locals - on the night we were there, we were the only tourists - always a good sign.
