Lovely restaurant by the sea. Fishmarket and traditional food. Elegant and warm, even during winter. You will find a great place to have a well prepared food and medium prices. During 4 months a year you can enjoy beautiful terrace where you can enjoy bre
Although very convenient for the beach, and tastefully decorated inside, this restaurant flatters to deceive. Slow sloppy service and expensive food of an average quality left us very disappointed. 3 adults and a child cost â¬110 for lunch including wine at â¬20. If you're on the beach, walk on by as the town has many superior restaurants

First time at this location. The waiter was very attentive to my gluten intolerance. Fish was fresh, tasty and plentiful. The place is mostly visited by the locals. Simply a hidden treasure.

Wanted a typical "Asturias" lunch close to the beach. Ordered "Fabada" with clams and hake "a la marinera".Very low quality food, not fresh, ....... A huge shame, as it looks a lovely restaurant and I (wrongly) assumed, that being a bit 'out of the way', people would have to travel to it, so the food would be good and draw people in (as other restaurants in the area do).How wrong I was! A great shame.
Servicio muy bueno y amable.Pedimos a la plancha una docena de sardinas a la plancha y una de chipirones. BuenÃsimo y bastante económico. Una referencia en Candás.

Normal looking Restaurante & Hostalâ¦but once you enter you find a great atmosphere, drinking Spanish Cider and a broad menu of local seafood and steaks.Service is wonderful and all the waiters, owner and bar tender are super friendlyand very helpful. Prices are normal and they have a full menu of the day.Right in front of the Renfe Train Stationâ¦.plenty of parking⦠HIghly recommend.

Although this is a little out of Luanco it's well worth the effort. Will be garnering a lot of 5* reviews. All fish locally sourced from the local barnacles upto the lobsters. One particularly fine 40year old on display. Attentive efficient waiters all adept at the high level cider pouring technique. First time we'd been but it's certainly won't be the last.

We went there because of the nice reviews on tripadvisor but it disappointed us. The fish was not that fresh, the flavor with lots of garlic and the price too expensive for the quality received. I wouldn't recommend it if you have another choice.

I've resisted reading the previous review, written by my dear friend Chris, as I want mine to have some chance of originality. I'd picked this place as one to visit on the strength of the TA ratings and before learning the last entry was written by the friend I was going to stay with in Candas. I then learnt he and his family regularly eat there. It is conveniently close to the centre, and my friend's home, tucked away in a side street and with little to indicate on the exterior what a fine place it is to dine. It's a place where you're best advised to ask which is the freshest fish available that day and waste no more time deciding what to have. Our shared salad starter of fresh tuna, anchovies and various leaves and vegetables in olive oil was very tasty and an ideal appetiser before the large oven cooked fish we also shared. There was some discussion about what fish it was (in English) but having googled Red Sea Bream I'm pretty certain that's what it was. Simply baked on a bed of sliced potatoes with lashings of olive oil it was one of the most delicate and flavoursome fish I've ever eaten. Make sure you eat the cheeks if you try this dish as they are the very best bits! An excellent Cava that complemented the subtle flavour of the bream completed a meal I will forever remember with great fondness and satisfaction. Now read Chris's review for a better informed view of quite how good this restaurant is and why you should make a point of going there while in Candas.
