Visited this great place with my boyfriend for lunch. The servant speaks English, which is not common for France. The food was amazing - wonderful fish soup with cheese, bread and garlic, as well as a huge plate of mussels in a taste sauce with french fries and that mint-chocolate ice cream was a perfect ending! Would love to come back! The seafood is also very fresh and You can see how it is grown just by walking near the sea a few meters away. Definitely would recommend this restaurant! the prices are also very customer friendly - around 14 euros for this three-set lunch!

A friend suggested the Le Narval in Concale as a good place for lunch so 5 of us went for a seafood lunch. Located on the foreshore amongst shops selling local wares and produce including local oysters,the expectation of a good seafood lunch was high.Sadly the joking waiter was a sad indicator of the poor sad fare that followed.The entre langoustines surely were undersized and sadly dry, the scallops old and sad. The main of turbot and sole lifeless. The rice soggy and the veggies would have been better sourced from a can.Someone needs to call the taste police and have a warning notice issued. This place could kill the respect we have for French cuisine by itself if left to lure unsuspecting clients looking for a good meal in Concale.

We have visited this family run restaurant over several years and many times. As a couple and with friends and family. The seafood platter is the most reasonable that we've found in Cancale but don't think this means it is small or anything other than high quality - a whole crab per person and perfectly cooked langoustines etc. The seafood plate as part of a menu is also very generous.The restaurant has recently had a facelift and you can sit inside or out in good weather. The welcome is always warm and they are happy to accommodate small children.

One of the best places in Cancale . The fixed 3 course menu 29/24 depending on weekday/weekend is really good had the assiete de mer and a tuna potato crispy parcel and ice cream ,plus you get nibbles and a small dish in between courses - very friendly and helpful lady there - menus in English although we only wanted the double check the content.Merci

The meal was good but you really go here for the view.Service was very good - plenty of waitresses and they all chipped in so no waiting for one person to serve.The food was good although Mrs I&G felt her steak was ruined by a surfeit of shallots.Prices are high - but to be expected as this is a hotel in a top spot.

frankly, the food is so so not incredible at all very simple i ordered a grill meat with fries it was ok and the oysters were good the waitress (tall skynny old women red hair with glasses) was friendly and very talkative she just needs to be little more professional and not talking about the others (owners restaurants close by) to the customersthe restroom was dirty !!!!!!!!!!!

Wandered along the seafront looking at various menus before deciding to eat here. Good menu du jour at 18 euros each. Moules frites as a main course and king prawns with mayonnaise to start. Nice simple lunch. Service was fine.

I have reviewed this restaurant before but it seems to get better every time we visit!! This time with our sister and friends, we pre-booked for lunch to ensure getting a table as people queue to get in. The food was, as ever, excellent. I had the moules which although small due to the weather, were sweet and tasty. My wife chose the ham which she loved for its taste and tenderness. The staff were very attentive and pleased that we loved the food.

I followed up on a trip advisor recommendation for the best oyster restaurant in Cancale for our friends and they weren't disappointed. Only one of the friends had the oysters and he was pleased as punch. The other seafood range was restricted due to this place being special for oysters. Anyhow the others had a nice arrangement of various seafood. The staff were lovely and the price was fairly good considering we had drinks as well.
