Step in and step back in time to the grand old days of celebrities hanging out in the restaurant. Pepe the famous owner adorns the walls which are covered in photos with the greet and good of the celebrity world. Staff are warm and friendly. Setting is beautiful overlooking Byblos harbour. We visited for a sunset dinner. Food was very good, location perfect, ambiance lovely (felt very Greek) wine overpriced, £40 for a bottle of very average red. Quirky nooks and crannies in the restaurant and there is also accommodation available. There are other restaurants along the harbour but the history to this makes it a bit special. Price wise they are all around the same. We had the Meze which was huge and very good. Staff brought complimentary desserts for us which was a lovely gesture. Great for food and lovely location to watch the sunset. We ate quite early and it was very quiet but as we were leaving around 7.30 pm it was starting to get busy. I imagine the later you go the busier it is. Accept individual card payments as we were a party of six, some paid cash others card and there was no drama. If you visit Byblos make an effort to visit.

My hubby chose Pearl Island restaurant for my surprise birthday dinner tonight. The place was amazing and it exceeded our expectations from the professional and friendly staff especially Mohammad to the amazingly tasty food to the beautiful views over the sea and the nice setup with flower petals on our table. Everything was wonderful. We received a complimentary fruit tray, 3 different kinds of Lebanese sweets for each of us and a cheesecake to celebrate my birthday. That was a very thoughtful touch from Pearl Island team. We highly recommend this restaurant!

A humble cafe right on the beach. The atmosphere is relaxing and calm. I came with a friend for shisha and coffee. The service is fast and prices are excellent.

This restaurant was opened by Pepe Abed sometime in the 1960's. Has been very popular ever since and has had a large amount of celebrities who have visited over the years. Their photos are put on the wall in the restaurant. Excellent fish and sea food.
The restaurant is tucked away along the inner harbour. It is an iconic spot, visited by many famous people, pictures of the original owner Pepe on the wall with many of them. It is the food that wins out and the eclectic nature of the decor. Had a cheese, onion and tomato starter and octopus for the main course. It was a bit disappointing both of my dishes were brought at the same time while others had nothing for a period of time. The size of the octopus as a main course was on the small side. There were complimentary desserts including a spiced pudding or parfait. The large strawberries were great with powdered sugar save for the one strand of hair hanging from the plate. Either before or after your meal you should spend a few minutes in the museum rooms at the entrance. There are further knickknacks from Pepe plus some art pieces he owned. I agree it is not the cheapest place, paying a bit for the name. If a rating was out of 10, it would have been a 7.

Dar LâAzrak is beautifully located, jutting into the harbour with special views. There is no real menu which can be an issue as not many of the staff speak English. The seafood is obviously fresh but rather pricey, definitely paying for the location and view and the price per kilo more than the other restaurants in the harbour charge. Alcohol and fruit juices were also over priced. But the food was good, fresh and well seasoned and they did give us a mixed dessert plate complimentary
