Stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner. Pub wasn't crowded yet, but patrons began filtering in before we left. Service was good and food was some of the best we found in Ireland. My husband had the seafood chowder and declared that it was the best he'd ever had! I had a beet salad (yummy) to start and salmon for my meal. Delicious! There is an option for outside seating, but the weather was iffy (it's Ireland for heaven's sake) so we sat inside which affords one the view of a lovely bar and lots of dark polished wood creating an oldish world ambience. Would recommend.

We went here for our first night based in dungloe. we managed to get a table as it was very busy on a Friday night. Lovely feeling not rowdy and nice drink selection. Food menu was good and portions big. I has the vegetarian curry with rice and it also came with chips. Hubby had the fish and chips with mushy peas and onion rings. Again a great portion and everything was very tasty.Dear GlasgowWinenut,Thank you for choosing The Bayview on your recent visit to Dungloe.I am delighted to read that both yourself and your husband enjoyed both meals and found them to be plentiful.I look forward to seeing you back again if you're ever in the area.RegardsCharlieBar Manager
We had lunch in here yesterday. We had soup to start, and crab salad to follow. The crab salad contained white meat and "toes." I also had a rhubarb fool. The crab was the freshest and tastiest I have ever eaten. I also had a pint (or two) of Guinness, which I enjoyed. The service is attentive, and you are made to feel welcome. The bar is not huge, but could accommodate about 20 people, I'd guess. I think that food is only served till 5pm during the summer months.

We had just returned from an amazing boat trip... and were ready for good food. Well the Lobster Pot provided just that, in a super-enchanting atmosphere...The meal was excellent and the pints were perfect too. The service was very good and pleasant with great cráic and banter. In all honesty I couldn't fault a thing...loved all the county jerseys on display along with many other interesting artifacts and memorabilia. You would easily recognize and appreciate the fact that the family put their heart and soul into the place. A very pleasurable experience....thank you
