Salamis (/ˈsæləmɪs/; Greek: Σαλαμίνα Salamína, Ancient and Katharevousa: Σαλαμίς Salamís), is the largest Greek island in the Saronic Gulf, about 1 nautical mile (2 km) off-coast from Piraeus and about 16 kilometres (10 miles) west of Athens. The chief city, Salamina, lies in the west-facing core of the crescent on Salamis Bay, which opens into the Saronic Gulf. On the Eastern side of the island is its main port, Paloukia, in size second in Greece only to Piraeus, the port of Athens.

We tried the islands traditional omelette "fourtalia" which was ok but not the best one we had tried on the island due to large uncut pieces of sausage. The salad and cheese "kopanisti" starters were nice. Great location, you can go for a swim on the other side of the road and then walk over for a great meal.

Serves freshly cooked food all day long... Open 13.00 untill 23.00. The Cyclades is a special restaurant in Andros and also a part of the hotel Perrakis. Indeed it is one of the most popular restaurants in Andros. With simple style and pleasant dishes, it
Although i stayed earlier this Summer in the hotel and was very satisfied, the dinner we had this time was not good at all.The plates came really quickly and i realised that they were pre made!!!Fried mushrooms-cold,octopus with fava coming from refrigerator(fava was stoned on the surface)etc. Why i didnt sent the plates back?Because we where not hungry and were enjoying our wine and the moon.Only the desserts were in a high level, but i suppose this is not enough.Thank you for your review. We want to constantly improve and feedback is essential.I just want to assure you that NOTHING is pre-made. Everything is cooked on the spot and is made from local ingredients. If, for what every reason, you did not like a certain plate you should send it back immediately so any problem to be solved instantly. Yes we do have quick service since our Metre has organized the waiters perfectly. But this is usually a good thing.

The area, just short of Andros, was not easily accessible. Since only one path and the sea ââcould be reached. Early visitors of this small hut-cafe, some anglers xapostainan after "plowing" of the sea and some tourists for adventure. Foreigners who live
Went here as first night in the area and it seemed convenient.Appreciate nearing the end of season, 1/9, but there was no atmosphere, just family (?) discussion. We started with cheese pies, not bad, but when the mains arrived they were piled high and the meal was not only too much too eat but unappetising in appearance. The house white wine as OK, but we would not return

Our restaurant- offering meze, creative and standard greek cuisine -was until 2017 hidden in an alley of Batsi. Since May 2018, it has been relocated on the seaside promenade with a terrace and even a few tables right on the sea front. The dishes are still
This little place is right on the front in Batsi, so you might think it could be a bit touristy but not a bit of it. The man who runs it is absolutely delightful and we had lovely food. We didn't want a big meal so we just had local cheese, pork and spicy sausages and it was just perfect. The culinary highlight was undoubtedly the olive oil, which makes the local Andros cheese even more delish when you mix them together and the proprietor is VERY proud of it because it's made by his own family from their own olives. All washed down with very passable house wine and a complimentary yoghurt with cherry syrup. A great evening.

Two visits - Good service - very good food: baked feta in filo dough with honey, Andros salad, grilled anchovies, grilled swordfish, grilled oktopus, grilled calamari, grilled stuffed calamari.(It was so good, we came back - ;-))

Five of us unanimously chose this restaurant for a special meal out together and we were not disappointed, knowing that a master chef was in attendance.Lovely evening views across Batsi harbour whilst eating a huge, perfectly cooked steak served with chips, salad and peppercorn sauce. (Nb this is listed as âvealâ but is beef for sure)Four of us had the steak, the other a chicken dish cooked on a skewer served with salad. We are all healthy eaters and all struggled to finish because of the very generous portions, we could not leave a single delicious mouthful and then heroically still managed the wonderful banoffee pie provided on the house.Bottled cold Methos is served here in frosted glasses and the house red is quite acceptable.Service is delightfully relaxed and there is never a rush to move you on at the end of your meal.Slightly more expensive than several of the neighbouring restaurants, but absolutely worth every penny.

A nice place, just opposite the beachfront of Batsi. The food is average. Some dishes were delicious (village salad) and some others very bad.Bread was not fresh and was charged 4â¬!The prices are high compated to what you eat.Needs reservation!!Do not try the chicken. It was almost raw!

The Dolphins restaurant is located in Andros in the beautiful seaside village of Batsi just above the sea road at the top of the double stairs. It's a family business operating since 1986. Enjoy traditional greek dishes, homemade specialities of Andros, a
Stopped for a late lunch. Staff were very friendly and food was excellent. Good choice of dishes and drinks. Waitress also gave good advice on local public transport and things to do on the island - very knowledgable. Great harbour views from the restaurant. To be recommended.

Typical Greek restaurant with good food, but generally not standing out from the other ones.Service is a bit hurried, due to the huge number of table to serve.I would not plan a trip to Batsì just to dine here.
