We were here last night and enjoyed ourselves. No menu but the helpful, English speaking waitress was able to advise. Antipasti was great and very large. Delicious pasta, I particularly appreciated that there were several vegetarian sauces for my daughter to choose from. I shared a secondo because the pasta was large!Very good value food.

Word of mouth from the local villagers led us to Barchetto. They knew what they were talking about. It's a fabulous setting and the service was very attentive, helpful and efficient. We only looked at the seafood options and were very pleased with our meals. The entree with 6 different tastings was absolutely delicious.

Locale semplice e informale. Cameriere carine premurose e disponibili.

Had a fabulous dinner and enjoyed it very much but it was slightly more expensive than indicated. Some friends have told me it is a bit hit or miss but my experience was very positive. Not much of an atmosphere there. Staff were very pleasant.

Osteria di Pesce , situata in Media Valle Garfagnana. Si Servono piatti di Pesce Carne Pizza e Sushi. Strutturato per cucina senza glutine .
We stumbled on this restaurant when we were looking for some seafood - there is a retail outlet next door. They had a "Pranzo" (workers lunch) special on the first day we visited and we were very happy with the food and service so we thought we would come back again. They advertised a "Catalan" night so we booked a table with some friends and we are so happy we did. For â¬23 per head we had a 4 course seafood feast plus all drinks included. The main course consisted of a full lobster, a whole crab and some prawns all on a lovely fresh salad - WOW!!The restaurant has a clean modern layout and the staff are very friendly & helpful. We will be going back again before we return to Australia.

The premises of this restaurant have been under new management twice in the last few years. The previous owners had managed to improve greatly on the noisy and rather stark former interior as well as living up to its name "Il Pescatore" (the Fisherman) with delicious fish and seafood dishes. It is now definitely a menu for meat eaters who like fairly generous portions and, happily, the overbearing TV has been banished from the dining area. However, the décor has taken a step backwards and the service, though friendly, was rather slow despite the relative emptiness of the room. The classic local dish of "Zuppa alla frantoiana", usually a treat, proved to be short of flavour and oven roast potatoes were disappointingly pallid and soft. I fear that the restaurant will once again be up for grabs if it does not improve.

On our way back from La Grotta Vento we were driving in a heavy rainshower. As it was already after 13:30 we were pretty hungry but where to eat. After the twist and turn road from the Grotta we drove about 15 minutes more towards Lucca when we noticed a very busy parking next to a restaurant sign.We tried our luck and we certainly recommend this road restaurant. The restaurant was loaded with Italians (we always consider this a good sign) and there was 1 table left.Although they don't speak very much English they really try to explain. And with the little Italian we spoke we could easily order. This restaurant is not a high class spot but certainly does the trick having quite a lot of choices on the menu. The tordelli, risotto and fried squid/prawn were all well up to taste. We spend about â¬50 for 4 persons. We all had 1 dish and 3 had desert, 2 had coffee.I can certainly say that this location is worth visiting after the Grotta.Nice people, honest food and very reasonable prices.

We found this place by accident, as there used to be very good pizzeria in the same building. This is a fine dining establishment, with an emphasis on seafood, and it is just amazing. We actually returned to try some of the other items on the menu as our first experience was so good. The maitre d' and the chef both are talented sommeliers, and the wine list reflects this. The service is very impressive, and the menu was inventive and very well-prepared. Had the best octopus dish I've ever had--tender and fragrant. Also memorable as this is the first time in 35 years my husband has ever ordered a dessert! I had tried the lemon tart the first time and it was so good he ordered it for himself the second time. Usually he has a dessert grappa....On our second visit they had translated the menu into English, with some unfortunate choices, so stick to the Italian!

Family of three, we ate here three consecutive nights recently as it was close to the centre and our hotel (Park Regina). Food was always freshly made and very good. Pizza's extremely good, our only disappointment was not knowing enough Italian to be ambitious with the menu as there were clearly some lovely dishes to be enjoyed if you knew what they were. Many Italians eating here, which we took to be a good sign. The waitress was always the same, and she was lovely and very patient and helpful with our efforts to order. All dishes seemed reasonably priced to us, and the home made pistachio cheesecake was delicious !!Highly recommend and we would definitely return, hopefully next time with better grasp of the language to better enjoy the menu !
