Find out what Seafood restaurants to try in Bad Homburg. Just north of Frankfurt at the foot of the Taunus Mountains, Bad Homburg has been treasured for its healing baths since the 19th century, when it hosted royalty from across Europe and the world. Of course they also came for its casino, sometimes called "the mother of Monte Carlo." Today, both the original Spa Park (or Kurpark) and the Bad Homburg Casino are still here, and visitors also enjoy Bad Homburg Castle and its White Tower. Just northwest of town is Saalburg, a restored Roman fort.

We had been more than 10 colleagues and were placed on the upper floor in this otherwise very crowded restaurant (on a Tuesday night!). We were given 6 different starters to share and I loved both the funghi porcini, beef tartar, scallops and the calamari, while asparagus and shrimps were also ok. For the mains I ordered orata (dorado) filet with vegetables, a light and still flavourful dish. All in all combined with the nice and relatively low priced Pinot Bianco from Alto Adige as well as a smooth red Malvasia from Apulia this was an excellent experience. Definitely will come back with the family.

This is a review for their branch in Giessen. If you like seafood and can't afford to buy fresh fish and prepare it yourself at home, eating out at Nordsee is quite acceptable tastewise. We usually go here for the fish and chips and the house special soup (seafood soup). Price is mid-range and the place is always popular during lunch time.
