We were here on September 4th. It was my birthday. We ordered a Russian salad, entrecot and scallops. Unfortunately the waiter spoke poor English, menu was in Spanish and it turned out that everything I ordered was at least for 4 people. My friend and I , we could eat only one-third of everything. It was very unfortunate , that the waiter did not warn us about the sizes of portions. I have to say , that the food was delicious. But the smell, when we enter to the restaurant was a little shocking. The smell of cider. There is a funny tradition to pour cider into glasses. So, my advice in this restaurant: ask you waiter of sizes of portion and you don't have to pay for food you can't eat.

Lots of fresh seafood, sadly badly overcooked, or in our case that was the case. It is a place for locals as most are in this part of spain, it gets crowded in the weekend and is empty before 20:30. Our first visit 4 years ago and that left us with better memories. We will give it another go in four years time

Typical Asturian cider house with two floors and terrace on the outside Its specialty is the fish and seafood of the Cantabrian Sea, without neglecting the quality of its Asturian meats. Clams, octopus, fried calamari, grilled Hake, grilled sea bass, lobs
La Botella has been around for far far longer than I have been visiting Aviles (which is around 20 years now) and this time I went here with my wife and mother in law to have lunch. We took three dishes, calamares en su tinta, Pulo a la Gallega and fritos de Pixin. All the dishes were very good, especially the calamares and the pixin. We washed down the whole meal with a bottle of Jose Pariente which is a nice moderately priced white wine from the Rueda. The waiter was helpful and friendly and we enjoyed the visit.
