Barbarossaâs ultimate goal is to bring you delight with our cuisineâs aromas and flavors. Partnered with our excellent service and hospitality, our priority is your experience. We are waiting for you on a tasteful journey!
We went to Barbarossa about 21:30 and got table with cosy sofa without any waiting. I usually eat only traditional Greek dishes, but now I ordered chicken with pepper sauce and it really was good! Lots of pepper! (I love spicy food). Service was very nice and polite.

Meals here are always tasty and we've tried many. Our favs are the cabbage and carrot coleslaw salad, the baked potato and bacon cheese mash, Iman and light crispy battered eggplant and zucchini are soooooooo delicious and light. Staff are lovely and we are always happy to visit.

This was a disappointing visit. Occasionally TA leads us astray. Stopped here coming back from Konstantinos Beach. Greek salad was bland and local soft cheese was tasteless. I waited two days to do this review to see if the cheese was an island wide issue and it is not. Our smoked eggplant salad was not smokey and our grilled octopus was chewy. I can't imagine what the other reviewers were smoking. Would not repeat.

A restaurant next to the Livadi beach, with stunning Castle view and delicious local Greekâ cuisine.
This taverna is a very good place for fantastic food and drinks and has a nice atmosphere. It is situated on the beautiful beach of Livadi. The very friendly woman Maria can tell you everything about their menu and also about the island. When you go to Livadi take my advieds and go to Para Thin Alos.

Since 1996 captain Michalis' restaurant "Almira" located at the dock of Maltezana in Astipalea, overlooking the area's natural port, offers fresh fish and traditional Astipalean flavours.Every summer the captain tends his garden with care and adds new dish
In the village of Analipsi (Maltezana) this taverna/restaurant is not to be missed. Dimitri has created a menu after experimenting for more than 8 years. Menu focuses on fish with a few meet dishes, you will find Greek traditionial flavors in a modern execution and a few ethnic recipes cooked strictly with Greek ingredients so you never miss the local approach. We have eaten in many Michelin rated restaurants and honestly by far one of the best restaurants I have been. Get advised by Dimitri. Do not miss the bruschetta...

When Petridena's family started their journey with Akti restaurant in 1980, their first priority was to pass on the pure and exceptional recipes of the island, which have matured over the years at Astypalaian houses and traditional taverns, in a special a

In the end they gave us a dessert. Thank you. Keep going. Bravo.

Traditional island cuisine with lots of local seafood in mediterranean flavours.Daily changing menu, depending on what fishermen and garden have to offer.
4 people We asked for a table but despite some tables were empty the owner did not want to organize the seats. Very strange and rude behaviour . Weâll never come back in this restaurant...Sorry, this was a misunderstanding. I was alone in the kitchen this evening, the restaurant was more or less full, there was a table for two people free. I asked you to understand, that it would take half an hour for me to serve the people who where already waiting and if it would be able to come back later. I find it not understandable that you would write such a valuation to somebody who is only trying to do the best for his guests and has to know, when the capacities are not adequate.

traditional Astypalaia cusine with local biological products, meat, fresh fish, fresh handmade pasta MAKAROUNES and also menu for vegeterians.
There is not much I need to describe.. Excellent food very friendly staff! We visited twice during our vacation in Astypalaia and tried both meat and fish dishes! As I already said don't miss it if you visit Astypalaia and hopefully this is enough to convince you!

We ve tried the local cheese pie, fried atherina (tiny fish), ntakos (cretan salad) and octopus. All dishes were very tasty. However the octopus portion was quite small or overpriced. The staff was also friendly although quite busy! It is a great combination after a visit in the nearby beaches!
