Good atmosphere, good variety, good commercial fried and broiled seafood. Shrimp nice size, good breading. Crab legs nice, good value but over cooked. Catfish is Nor the good ISDA farm raised, imported, wet texture not white, sweet and flakes as the real stuff. Broiled selections good, but farm raised. Slaw very good, skip the fries and hushpuppies!

With new paint the place is fresh and clean. Energetic waitress Josephine helped us select.. Excellent gumbo, though it is chicken and sausage, and not seafood, it is very good. Salads are quite large with tomato, etc. Most try the fried catfish, which has a great reputation. Grilled and blackened items are good as well. Full bar. Fast and friendly service.

I usually give Rockfish a 5, but not this time. We were two of only six in the entire restaurant. We only ordered some fish and chips and appetizers. It took them an HOUR to get us the appetizers. We had to send them back because the supposedly hot appetizers were cold. They heated them up and I had to go ask for them as they sat under the warmer. The bartender was doubling as a waiter and was much more interested in the three at the bar. Some of the poorest treatment I've received at a restaurant and this was once one of our favorites. Wow, this experience has really put us off. We'll have to think twice about driving here (usually a 30 minute drive). I love their hush puppies but if that's their standard for service they've lost a long time customer.
