I trust on TripAdvisorâs review very frequently and this time they didnât let me down. This place has good reviews and I was looking for something to eat good fish and seafood in Antofagasta and we dived into the trip. Itâs some 15 mins driive from downtown but the food worthed the trip. Great empanadas and a wide variety of fishes very well cooked. The view is also good. A typical example of âdonât judge a book by its coverâ

The place is well decorated with Peruvien crafts. The food was awesome. We loved the place, the food, and the service. They were open on 18th September which is a national holiday this was a blessing. Everything is closed in Chile on the 18th and 19th of September which makes it difficult to travel in Chile. It was like finding water in a desert.

Payta came highly recommended by locals and I was not disappointed. The three story Peruvian Restaurant/Pisco Bar has excellent seafood and meat dishes that easily ranked among the best that could be found in Antofagasta, Chile. The restaurant overlooked the Pacific Ocean and provided patrons excellent views while dining. The only down side to non-Spanish speakers is that the staff and menus were not available in English. With that said, I was able to figure out what I wanted and was not disappointed with the food and service I received. If you are in the area, Payta should be one of the places you visit.

It's mostly a seafood restaurant. Service is excellent. Food is always reliable. Good wine selection. Plenty of fresh seafood options. Good desserts. I've never had a bad meal here. It is also one of the more expensive restaurants in town as well.

The atmosphere was pleasant, the seafood was fresh and well cooked. The presentation was simple; choose the fish variety, then choose the side dish - salad, potatoes, etc. Our waitress was kind, and spoke english, which made it easy for us. An excellent experience.

Restaurante de Cocina Chilena de Origen, con un toque moderno ocupando los mejores productos de la costa de chile y sus recetas.
I didn't know this place existed until we were looking for something good on this street. I'm glad we found this. A fairly modern, fresh and clean restaurant, about 1 year old now, nice staff, great atmosphere, and they keep the (good) music low so you can hear your friends! (such a concept, but I very much appreciate this). The food was excellent and portions large. Good drinks too. Will go again.

If you are in Antofagasta it's probably for business (mining..), don't miss this restaurant. Found it here on trip advisor and decided to try. A bit hard to find, use WAZE. It's a family business with a family atmosphere. Great selection of fresh seafood, fresh salsas and bread, drinks - big selection of wine and local beers, and above all the great home made deserts. We had a passion fruit and a Tiramisu, both were divine. Service is excellent and fast. Will definitely go again.
