Reviews on Seafood food in Ajaccio, Communaute d'Agglomeration du Pays Ajaccien, Corsica. Ajaccio, Corsica's main city, is fun to visit at any time of year. But if you're a secret (or not-so-secret) Napoleon Bonaparte groupie, plan to be there on August 15 and join the celebration of the birthday of Ajaccio's most famous son. Casa Buonaparte, Napoleon's family home and birthplace, is worth a visit, as is the town cathedral. Or just enjoy the Corsican sun.

Restaurant de Poissons Frais et Coquillages situé sur les rochers. Face à l'un des plus beaux golfe de Méditerranée, le restaurant Le Beau Rivage a aménagé des salles qui se présentent toutes face à la mer.
Tagliatelle with gambas was really nice, and also their grilled gambas on a stick. The chef didn't seem to be too keen on meat, it was quite tasteless actually. It seemed to be a popular restaurant though, it was crowded both the times we were here, and the waiters were really busy!

On a recent Mediterranean cruise my wife and I recently discovered having some Spanish and some Italian really doesn't get you far when what you need is French -- even in Corsica. We were really struggling with chalkboard menus as we tried to pick out a cafe on one of the many narrow, hilly allies in town. Then we came upon Chez Nonna Bella and behold! Photos on the wall with the names of the dishes and we knew we'd found our lunch. The wooden patio is delightful (if a bit tight when fully crowded) and shaded, the service is friendly and helpful and the food was divine. We kept a business card just to ensure we could write a positive review. Absolutely one of the highlights of our trip -- and a motivator to learn more French for next time!

The terrace shaded by The Aroma welcomes you warmly, for moments of relaxations and greed. Situated at the heart of the city. 6, rue du Roi of Rome 20000 Ajaccio 04 95 10 10 15
This was the worst veal escalop dish I have ever had. Extremely dry with absolutely no flavour what so ever. The kind of veal dish I would have cooked just after leaving home. Not what I would expect from a chef or cook. My husband had a wonderful fresh cooked fish with lots of flavour. The service which was pleasant was also a little slap dash to say the least. There was a half an hour wait for drinks and wine. We normally tip but left nothing here.

Amazing location, you feel like you are almost in the sea! Beautiful views.Everyone is so friendly, you feel like you are dining with friends! The service is exceptional.Portions are HUGE! We shared a starter, had a main course each and shared a dessert, and left totally satisfied. The quality of the meal was excellent. Everything cooked to perfection. It was the most expensive meal we had on our stay in Corsica, but I have no complaints. A very enjoyable evening.

Un restaurant chaleureux au cÅur du centre ville historique, une cuisson au four à braise Josper de délicieuses viandes du monde et poissons de pêche locale
Very good meat, well cooked and tasty, but the service was not in line with the level in which the restaurant would like to be.Not enough attention to the customers, probably because they recently opened so it seems they don't have experience yet.Disappointing since the beer they served us was not cold and we were the second customers of the night. Only 2 options of beer available.

We fancied seafood and found this restaurant on Tripadvisor. I got John Dory and my partner whole fish. When we got there it wasn't busy but by the time we got our main dish the restaurant was full and staff was not able to cope. We could see the table next to us waited for 10 minutes just to get the menu. Food was decent but for these prices I would expect more. I wouldn't come back.
