Find out what Scottish restaurants to try in Pitlochry. Highland Perthshire places some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery within easy reach of both Glasgow and Edinburgh, and Pitlochry is the most geared-up base from which to enjoy it. It’s been a bustling mountain resort since the railways arrived in 1863, and these days manages to be both a cozy favorite for tourists who enjoy browsing in its woolen mills and taking in the repertory of plays at its famous Festival Theatre, and a magnet for adrenalin junkies in search of bungee jumping, canyoning, tubing and white water rafting adventures. Visitors of any age will be intrigued by the Pictish carvings on the huge Dunfallandy stone at nearby Ballinluig and, after a bracing mountain walk or visit to the famous salmon ladder, adults can enjoy a warming dram of malt whiskey after a tour at one of the two local distilleries, Edradour and Blair Athol.

A working watermill has been on the site since 1590s. We mill our own flour and oatmeal which we then use in our bakery attached to the mill. We serve breakfast, light lunches and cakes and our aim is to provide simple wholesome food with our baking and l
Lunch was excellent. Had a home made bagel with beautiful ham, this was delicious. The mill wasnât working on our visit but you could still go in and read about the experience and speak to well informed mill staff. Those who love fresh flower will love this place.

Booking is advisable for this popular restaurant which offers seasonal dishes and offering Scottish produce. Located on the banks of the River Tay there is plenty to watch indoors and on the ever-changing and dramatic waters. We enjoyed the salmon tartare and game terrine for starters followed by the chicken burger and roast of the day. We were tempted by the desserts on offer but seriously could not do them justice. Such a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, cosy interiors and plenty of other points of interest within the vicinity. We will certainly be back when we visit the area same time next year.

A long established favourite with visitors to Pitlochry, Victoria's Restaurant offers a friendly, taste-filled experience that will leave you wanting more... Located on Pitlochry's main street and near to car parking, Victoria's Restaurant is family owned
Itâs difficult to categorise this restaurant but we had a very enjoyable experience. Starting with a warm welcome and being ushered to a lovely table for two by the fire, the restaurant had a good feel. It could equally suit couples, groups or families. The staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient and, despite how busy the restaurant was, everything was served in good time. There was an interesting wide range of food from pasta & pizza to steaks, seafood, fajitas etc. We started with a shared calamari, followed by Sea Bass and Fajitas finishing with an amazing chocolate brownie & ice cream. All accompanied by the obligatory vino!!Dear 155derekb,Thank you very much for dining with us recently and for taking the time to add a review. We're delighted you enjoyed your meal and the service and we very much hope that you'll dine with us again if you're ever back in Pitlochry.Best wishes,Team Victoria's

Went here with a couple of friends and our children. It was lovely and sunny so we sat outside. Food came very quickly. The toasters were lovely. I had soup as well which was very tasty. My children wanted a pain ham baguette and they were happy to accommodate. It was very big so they halved one and still werenât able to finish it. The home baking looked amazing but I resisted. Definitely deserves the number of excellent reviews. Wasps were a bit of a problem but you canât blame the owners for that.

We ate here as we were staying in the hotel. Being a fixed menu, we had reservations about the limited choice. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and were left satisfied but not stuffed. The flavours were subtle but very tasty. Wouldnât hesitate to recommend.
