When visiting Inverurie we chose here to have a coffee break. We both had Americano coffees and apple & cinnamon scones. The coffee was ok but a bit weak for my liking, the scones were heated and served with butter & jam - they were really tasty. The restaurant was spotless clean as was the toilets. The service was good and the staff were pleasant. The jewellery shop is really good too. There is car parking close by which is free for the first 30 mins which was ok for us just having a coffee break. Thanks for your thoughts. Glad you enjoyed your visit apart from the coffee. Next time your in Sinclairs ask for a double shot as I'm sure that will be more to your taste. Ian Sinclair.

I would recommend trying this hotel for a meal. I intend to return in the near future. Taste of food lovely. Meal piping hot. Quantity and quality could not be faulted in any way. Service and surroundings pleasant. Staff efficient but pleasant. Soft drinks not overly priced at this hotel. A must if you enjoy good food.

Came here for Sunday lunch as part of my 70th birthday celebrations along with a friend who had also turned 70, and our partners. Trying to think of adjectives that are not hackeyed, so.....how about meticulous attention to quality and presentation; sympatico surroundings, lovely friendly staff who hit just the right level of attentiveness without intruding in any way.....fresh beautifully prepared and well chosen ingredients, locally sourced. And just so damned TASTY. With a refreshingly knowledgeably chosen wine list, we all so much enjoyed such a perfectly balanced meal. My starter of beetroot walnut and goat cheese, after the little amuse bouche of bruschetta, etc, was light and delicious. My duck confit was as perfect, crisp, and substantial as any I have had in France. Personally, I rarely eat puddings, but enjoyed my cheeseboard with a final swan song of port, and my friends were ecstatic about their puds. After coffee, we enjoyed the serene and peaceful ambience of Udny village green. The decor in the restaurant is mercifully tartan free and tastefully chic. A place for an occasional splurge, but you really do get what you pay for. I shall be back.

Wonderful restaurant that has increasing poularity and a loyal and chic customer base. High standards and great food.
We came with my partner and his parents for dinner. The moment we entered the door we were warmly greeted and given the choice of where we would like to sit. The service was absolutely on point and the food just made you happy. We highly recommend the scallops, the pork belly and the chocolate bread and butter pudding! Thanks to the whole team for taking such good care of us! We had a most enjoyable evening and are definitely going to be back!

Take Away
My wife, daughter and I had been up at Ellon for a tour of the Brewdog brewery and decided to just get something from the Meldrum Fish Bsr rather than cook when we got home; it was after 8:00 pm when we left Ellon.I had my usual fish and chips, my wife had her usual chicken fillets and chips and my daughter had fish and chips with a single sausage (she had had no lunch). The usual large portions. This time the chips were even better than previously and after the normal short wait we headed home. On arrival, we did not even have to heat up our meals in the oven as we sometimes do.As there was not a scrap left from all three meals, I can honestly say that none of us had any complaints. When we first moved to Meldrum, we were a bit disappointed in the Meldrum Fish Bar but they have certainly upped their game since then.

this is the restaurant inside an activity centre, but it is used by the public as a whole not just the patrons of the activity centre. It offers standard cafe food with some scottish dishes
We went to Lochter today for a 1/2 day of activities. That is four of them. Unfortunately, the carting was full (that is a great one), we booked archery, blindfolded 4x4 driving, Segway and air rifle shooting. On the day, the latter was replaced by digger driving. We had great fun for at least 3 hours, although the archery was a bit poor. Great guide and attitude from the staff. Finished off with a good lunch. Great time, but not cheap.

When passing Oldmeldrum, always saw the sign for the Redgarth, but never ventured in. At the weekend went out with friends for dinner there and found it a great place to eat and drink.Everybody enjoyed their meal, no issues in any shape or form. In daylight, great view from our table over to Bennachie hills. Pleasent atmosphere and great service.Noticed a few Dutch cars in the car so International visit there too!Kicking ourselves why we didn't try the Redgarth earlier, will go bay again in an instant!
