We are an independent family run business serving traditional favourite dishes in an authentic way. The definition of a bistro is a small inexpensive restaurant with quick service and a licence to sell alcohol with your meal. That is exactly what we do, k
I went to Largs with my husband, granddaughter & great niece. Before going to the swing park we came in here for our lunch. As it was the holiday weekend & the weather was lovely the place was really busy. We eventually managed to get a seat inside. This is the first time we've been here. There menu is really good with lots of different things to pick from. Our meal was lovely, even though they were really busy the service was good. It's on the sea front so the view is great. We will definitely go back hereThank you Maryann for your kind comments. It can be difficult to maintain service when things are really busy so we appreciate your patience, understanding and kindness in taking the time to comment. Iâm delighted that you enjoyed our food and the choices available. we are currently looking at revamping the menu to keep it fresh and seasonal with a few extra winter warmers on the way. I hope we will see you again next time you are in Largs. Very best wishes, Jim.

After a great breakfast 2 years ago, our high expectations were not met on Sunday. Friendly greeting gave way to disjointed service, where our waitress should have received some help from her colleagues. Staggering delivery of courses proved to be far from ideal.Chef placed too much reliance on sauces to rescue tired haggis, potato scone and black pudding on our starters. Although the garlic one tasted nice, it contained far too much cream for a toddler. Steaming his mussels would have sufficed. Although the chicken and salmon mains were fine, both pasta dishes looked very stodgy, and the roast beef was not worth the £5 supplement. While one dish had the correct portion size, mine was miniscule. One roast potato, a stem of broccoli, thin jus and one untrimmed slice was not what I had in mind. Even though I was hungry and ate it, disappointment does not quite cover it. Was the dish actually checked after plating? Finally, while my son's fruit skewers were good, yoghurt would have been better than the chocolate pot provided. In line with earlier courses, the dessert selection was equally uninspired, and was almost based entirely upon ice cream topped with sauces or cream. Even the unfinished mini eton mess looked and tasted like an inferior version of Angel Delight. In short, nice surroundings, prime location and presentation only take Scotts so far. Inconsistent execution, uninspired offerings, ambitious pricing and average service all mean that we would look elsewhere next time. Sorry!

We decided to eat here as our hotel meals were a disappointment. What a good choice. Staff were excellent. We had a delicious bruschetta to start and fish and chips washed down with a lovely bottle of merlot. The whole meal was so good. We had coffee to finish. Largs was so busy and so was the restaurant with families but that did not affect the service at all. The owner welcomed us and hoped we would return but unfortunately we were only in Largs on a short visit. Well worth a try.

I visited here for the first time since they opened after winter break.Firstly the service is friendly and the food you get is really nice, reason for only 3 star as again just like last visit the portion sizes are too small, it's s little cheaper than the vikengar but much smaller portions, it's s real shame because it will put me off visiting again Thanks for your review, we offer a large chips as an upgrade for £1. We are trying to offer a fair portion at a fair price but thanks for your feedback!

A stylish venue in the heart of largs. A great alternative space for wedding parties and events. Why not stop by and try our great food, our huge range of cocktails or relax on our outdoor terrace. We have a selection of award-winning menus and great spec
We called into the Lounge for lunch prior to seeing friends off after they had enjoyed a lovely weekend in Largs. We were certainly not disappointed by the Sunday Lunch. The entire group enjoyed their choices very much. THe roast beef and yorkshire pudding was simply the best I had tasted for a very long time. The beef was extremely tender and very tasty. The service was very good and the whole place took us back to a bygone era. We will definitely return to The Lounge.

Largs has its own chain of restaurants, pubs and seaside hotel establishments; I wanted a little something different! Something personal⦠A relaxed, intimate, private dining environment where you are not just a number: where the food is cooked to order, w
We went here because of the great reviews and the statements from their website. Lovely décor inside and a friendly waitress who provided good service but unfortunately the food was a real disappointment for us. In my opinion my king prawns and my wife's steak had been defrosted and relatively tasteless. I had the beef curry recommended to me but it was nothing special either. Good choice of wines available. To be fair to the restaurant, they reduced our bill when they knew we weren't overly impressed. A great shame as we go to Largs often but very unlikely to returnThank you for your review. We are sorry that your experience did not match the expectations that you saw in regards to our restaurant. In reply to the steak issue, we only buy in fresh Scotch beef that is sliced fresh from the strip, received from our supplier with kill tags that are recorded, but it may have been in the cooking instructions as requested. This may have caused the meat to be âdryâ but we take on board all comments and reviews to make sure that improvements can be made . We hope that the deduction which was made reflected this for you. Kind regards - Faisal and Shona

We are a friendly independent Coffee Shop and Gallery, our focus is "fresh not frozen" and have a daily choice of 3 or 4 homemade soup with vegetarian and Gluten free option. We also do fresh sandwiches, paniniâs, baked potatoâs and salad and all rounded
Dinnae where to start. Willnae go back! I've heard from staff working there that the managers watch ye on the cameras and gossip about ye in the kitchen while you're eating. The managers are horrible to their staff too. Nothing special about the food either, especially for the price. The lentil soup is too salty, the scones taste artificial, the wee cakes and treats are mingin'. Also, who is that big blonde coo? The manager? I saw her mouthing off at one of the staff members, threatening to fire them over something silly and when she looked at me I almost Usain Bolt'd oot the door because I thought she was gaunnae eat me. All jokes aside, DINNAE waste yer time going there. There are so many nicer places in Largs to go to.
