We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here, all excellent. Lots of fresh fruit and veg from their own organic garden. Good local fresh food, well cooked, simple but imaginative. Do book ahead for dinner, and request a table in the sun lounge for wonderful views over the sea to Mull.

We have visited Iona a number of times. The two hotels are both good, but for us the Martyr's Bay restaurant offers excellent service, excellent food, and as stated above, quite amazing views. Watch the sunset light up the port village of Fionnphort across the water. Dream of maybe taking the boat to Staffa and Fingal's Cave the next day. Wonderful.

The hotel looked really stylish and inviting from the outside but, ultimately, we were a little disappointed. The menu was limited and my mackerel was as unexciting as it sounds. Quite expensive for what it was too and slow service. The garden looks lovely. Perhaps the hotel is better for an al fresco afternoon tea than full meal.Hi Paul, thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant. I'm desperately sorry that you didn't enjoy your meal, serving tasting local produce is something that we pride ourselves on, and I'm really sad to hear it didn't live up to expectations. I have passed on your comments to our chef.If you are able to come and see us again then please do make yourself known to a member of the management team and we'll try to make amends. Kind regardsRick
