Couldn't wait to eat my Ploughmans sandwich on sourdough bread. The description was certainly tempting. I was expecting way too much! The ham was the thinnest slice (square), with the tiniest amount of grated cheese I've ever seen. A scraping of honey mustard which sadly I couldn't taste. The bread, pre cut ,and you know the way bread is when left out and not covered, or possibly made up and not picked up quickly enough by the server? The little garnish was nice with crisps on the side.Very, very disappointing indeed. Nearly £7 absolutely not worth it. Come on guys you can do much better!

Arrived after a walk with embarrassingly muddy boots, felt as welcome as anyone. Earl Grey tea for two and scones good value and included sitting in elegant splendour for as long as we chose. Pianist playing as we arrived..... Highly recommended

Plenty of tables and servers. Menu good with daily specials. I had an issue with my soup, the server took it away and brought a replacement, I was told, felt like a ticking off, â the manager said there is nothing wrong with the soup â all else was good.Thank you very much for your review.I am sorry you felt your server wasn't providing best customer service - and I will certainly make sure to pass your comments to our catering manager - thank you for bringing this to our attention.Kindest regards.

My husband and I had Sunday lunch here today and we're both impressed with what we had.Starters of tempura prawns & mixed pakora were light and tasty. Both had carvery option and choose rare roast beef and turkey, sides of roast potatoes light and fluffy, cabbage tasty, cauliflower cheese quite bland ( but I like very strong cheddar)giant sized Yorkshire pudding which I could not finish.Great venue, very good service and worth a visit.

A family run business based in the historical town of Dumbarton providing a variety of main meals, snacks and beverages and a variety of daily specials with prices to suit everyone.
Some friends and I had dinner together here recently. Perfect meeting point for us at this cosy bar. We had a range of dishes between us such as Chicken Enchilada, Chicken Supreme (their version) and Nachos as a main. Soooo good, each dish was super tasty! Friendly service and great prices, we will be back again.

Had a lovely evening meal, spicy chicken and the steak pie for me. The chicken was very good but the steak pie was excellent, nice bit of steak. The dessert menu is very good, a great variety and all very well priced. Overall a great dinner, very well priced and topped off with excellent staff who were efficient and very pleasant. Thank you.

Bar & Restaurant in Old Kilpatrick. Serving great homemade food, great atmosphere & banter!
Popped in here today for the first time after walking over the Erskine Bridge with our adopted dog (looking after MIL dog for a few weeks) and have to say I was really impressed!!! Lovely food and great service and I loved how they were so welcoming to our wee doggies ......... fresh bowl of water brought over for our Molly with some wee dog treats too, lovely touch!! We ate in the bar area (where dogs are permitted) but full menu available. Food is freshly made to order and I was impressed with the service of food, not rushed at all ~ very relaxed but prompt service. Certainly worth a walk over the bridge for sure ;-) KK xxHi UkSunlover. Thank you very much for your great 5 star review. Great Molly enjoyed herself to. Hopefully we get some decent weather and we will see you again. Thanks again G

We've been a few times now staff are great very welcoming and efficient, we can't fault the food it's delicious and well presented, prices are reasonable and good value for money, if you have a wheelchair guest best to book in advance as there's no ramp or access to upper restaurant, apart from that absolutely no problems.

The Cristal, the stunning restaurant at Mar Hall Hotel, is both just outside Glasgow and also a million miles away. Mar Hall is a 19th-century Gothic mansion transformed into a very elegant 21st century retreat, a perfect combination of classical and mode
We recently had dinner here. The walk to the restaurant through the Grand Hall is stunning. The restaurant has a lovely relaxed vibe for a formal dining room. The customer service provided by the staff is first rate. There menu provided a good selection of dishes. Our order was taken promptly, the food was served promptly, was well presented and hot. Most importantly each course was delicious. The Haggis in Whiskey Sauce was fantastic, steaks cooked to perfection and the desserts were beautifully presented. The price for the set menu was £35 per head and we thought it was real value for money. Wine and drink prices were on par with other restaurantsLovely restaurant, great customer service, excellent food and great value for money. Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
