The Cheese Man is fantastic-- wish he lived in Virginia-- never seen so many cheeses and he is so knowledgeable and let's you try everything -- also awesome selection and the flowers that are sold by the vendors are so gorgeous-- also love the smoked fish vendors. What a lovely experience.

This is THE "must-try" fish in Denmark. It is much better than any fish I have tried in those fancy restaurants with price level of 100~500DKK in Copenhagen, Odense and Kiel/Hamburg in Germany. There are only 6~7 selections. But the selections are enough since any of them is excellent. The fish is very fresh and fried until THE moment. It has extremely delicious taste, fine and juicy texture and crispy cover. I can only hope in Denmark there is more such kind of restaurants: do only one thing to the extreme. No fancy waitress/waiter is needed; no fancy seat is needed; no luxury wine is needed; no big menu is needed. Just do one thing to the "must try" level.

Bregninge Kro is a Danish traditional restaurant retaining the charm and experience of a traditional "landevejskro" (Coaching Inn) in the south of Denmark. the food is best described as traditional danish cuisine and covers a range of foods from Denmark.
Wasn't expecting such good food in this relatively isolated place. It is a very big Inn, with both seats inside and outside (I would recommend to sit outside if the weather allows it, the atmosphere is unique!). Menu varies according to seasonal ingredients, this ensures very fresh food. Service was really nice too, we felt like guests in a local house.Hey Luobota, Thanks for the review, much appreciated and glad you enjoyed the experience and we hope you come by another time to experience Danish "Hygge" and some great food!Regards,Birgitte and Henrik

The stjerneskud was delicious and delicate. The amazing amount of different toppings, textures and flavors brought this entire dish together. It was a bit pricey but worth it if you want a traditional danish dish. We also had the potatoe soup which was nice and creamy with also a hearty flavor. Definitely give it a go! Thank you

We had one og the best experiences on the restaurant. The food was stunningly good and the service was fantastic. We are definitely coming back.. If the hotel is as good as the restaurant, we may stay the night.

Bistro Gourmand is our gastronomic contribution to the experience at Stella Maris - Hotel de Luxe. French inspired menu with ingredients from the Island of Vejro, Fyn and the rest of the world. You will find wines from both large and small producers, main
We had the 3 course dinner and found it very tasty. The dessert was a bit blend, but the rest had great taste. Service was so so. A little to relaxed, a very quick presentation of the food and wines, somewhat minimalistic, we would have liked more info upfront. Instead we had to ask serveral times...Prices midrangeView over the ocean was unbeatable

This restaurant is quite popular. It is situated in the pedestrian street area on the sunny side in the afternoon and with outdoor seating it more or less sells itself. At my last visit the waiting time was so long that we decided not to return. But looking inside there seemed to be servants enough, so we gave it a try.We ordered the steak and fries with a cold tarragon sauce and a small salad. The salad and the sauce was fine. The fries were of the precut type, but warm and crisp with the right amount of salt. The steak was tender but undercooked. We ordered medium, but it was medium-rare. As for drinks the organic ginger beer was delicious. No one ever turned up to ask about coffee and eventually we just paid at the bar.

I wish that I had gone to this restaurant first, because it would then be my only "5" rating while here...We attempted to eat at Resume this evening, however it was reservations only, so we ventured down to this place. We were amazed by the service and the meal.We started with a bottle of their Cote d'Rhone - which was the perfect balance for our meals (mostly Granache)...I ordered the roasted lemon sole, my wife ordered the rib eye steak. Both were prepared to perfection. The sole was delicate, light and flaked as it should. It was perched on a bed of vegetables that were also cooked to perfection. It came with steamed potatoes (more than you can eat) and served with a delicious sauce that was perfectly matched. Utterly outstanding meal. The rib eye steak was also cooked to perfection and came with vegetables and a light cabbage salad. It included fries. Thus meal was also savory and wonderful. We finished with their Creme Brulee and a couple of glasses of their port. What a nice finish. It topped the other 2 restaurants we rated (though all were good) and felt it was the best meal of our trip.
