Ate here with my art travel group en route to Louisiana Art Museum. Gillelege is a charming little village on the northern coast. This modest facade doesnât reveal the wonderful food within. We had a three course lunch that began with a tomato gazpacho accompanied by excellent bread, butter and a sun-dried tomato spread followed by an arrangement of roasted root vegetables on a bed of parsnip puree (veg version), or with lamb. Also excellent. Dessert was a vagan chocolate cake with a berry topping. Caused swooning. If you are in the neighborhood, do not miss this restaurant. Thanks for your visit in my restaurant..hope to you again Michael

Traditional food combined with the desire to experiment. These are two of the main ingredients in the successful recipe for restaurant Gilleleje Havn, which over the last couple of years has become well-known throughout Scandinavia for its famous rye brea
This was a cozy choice on a cold windy evening. Itâs not a huge place, which adds to the coziness. We ordered the shrimp cocktail to start, and it was super fresh and delicious, withâlobster cigarâ, which was a cigar like pastry filled with lobster. The entrees we had, veggie burger and fish and chips, were enormous and really delicious. The cod was fresh, the batter was dark and tasty, and the veggie burger had lots of avocado. The waiter was really informative and pleasant. Great location, nice surroundings, super staff and amazing food.

Having read all the recent reviews of this place I was somewhat hesitant to visit the retsurant. In fact we only had coffee here! Nevertheless I would like to recommend a visit. The views from the terrace are fantastic. Next time I better try the food too ...

We were in town and decided to try this establishment after reading reviews on Tripadvisor. There is outside seating in the summer and the bar/restaurant itself was a few steps down in a cellar-like environment. To the right is the bar and to the left is a maze-like area with different sizes of tables. We chose a quiet table all the way in.The server came promptly and took our drink order and soon after that our dinner order. She was cheerful and professional. The menu is a bit limited and specializes in meat entrés and so called "plank steaks" which is meat on a wooden board with mashed potatoes browned in the oven around the edges. We did not have to wait long for our dinner and I was surprised at the good-sized portion. I had ordered the surf and turf and the filet stead was spot-on med. rare. My son had a plank steak and his was very good as well. The prices for a dinner entré are around 250 SEK which really is not bad at all when you take into consideration the size of the portion and the quality of the meal.We were quite full after the dinner and had no room for dessert, but there were a few to choose from on the menu.I have nothing to fault about the food, but the atmosphere of the restaurant could use a bit of up-dating and cozying up. The miss-matched furniture from days gone by is OK and serves the purpose, but with very few changes (new chairs) one could modernize this place and turn it from very good to great. The atmosphere in the bar area is much better. To sum it up, this establishment serves very good food and is well worth a visit.

Small cafe with a unique location on the harbor in Gilleleje, where the active fishermen, boat builders and marine painters can be followed from the terrace and balcony. We serve local and homemade specialities - e.g. to enjoy in our brunch, cold dishes,
Nice and good restaurant harbour front, we ate delicious fish with nice view and the waiters were very kind !

This set of baths is a quiet and lovely place. The food is delicious and one is cocooned within the spa as a whole. The owner wanders in and out and the staff are lovely, enjoy.

The restaurant is a tiny cottage in the middle of Hornbaek, not on the seashore but a little bit hided. The service is very good, quickly seated and served with smile and collaboration in understanding the recipes. The quality of the ingredient is good, meat and fish are more than fine and also the children's menu is ok (suggested the Frikadelle - Danish fish balls tastefull and ok for kids)The food is cooked very well, and very well presented - good point the sauces are seprated and so you can adjust by yourself. The only negative point is that the menu is not so long, only few recipes, but all are very, very good.Strongly suggested for a taste of the Danish recipes

While she works really hard in the kitchen, producing very tasty, pleasingly attractive dishes he works the tables in an efficient and friendly manner. All credit to them (sorry, no names known) and their hard endeavours.
