We stayed overnight and had dinner here. The dining room was bright with many windows. The cod entree was delicious. I ordered hakarl, (rotting shark), a national dish. It tastes a bit like ammonia on a sponge but I developed a taste for it. The food quality here was high.

Attractive venue with pleasant staff but poor value. Wanted to order a couple of eggs for breakfast but the only option was the full breakfast buffet at 1,900 ISK per person. Most of the buffet was bread, cereals and processed food. There was only a tiny amount of fresh fruit - one sliced orange, a banana and 2 tiny chunks of melon. The eggs, baked, beans and bacon were all cold because the food warmer wasn't working. The coffee came from a machine and was undrinkable. Still charged full price.

Jón RÃki brewery / restaurant is a family owned and operated business. Focusing on local produce and quality malts allows us to offer good quality and fair priced food and innovative craft beers From September 1st through may 31st we are only open on requ
Kind of hidden next to a farmhouse (though well marked from the road) this micro brewpub is an oasis of well-executed "regular" food. We needed something casual. This place has burgers, pizza, and wings along with other Icelandic specialties. The chef came out to talk with us and other patrons. The beer was awesome and served at the perfect temperature. Portions big. Quality high. Watch out for sheep on the road at night!

For those of you taken with this local delicacy, this was the best we tasted on the island. Food came quickly, in generous and tasty portions. A great pit stop before an afternoon glacier hike.

Experience the unique taste of the local Icelandic lobster/langoustine, in the charming restaurant Humarhofnin by the harbour in the fishing village Hofn.
Nice comfortable cafe style restaurant, Good range of choices from pizza to burgers to full, large meals. The lobster (langoustine) bisque was nice but not great. Not cream-based like Im used to in Oz or USA (some 'old' customers sent their's back! Said it had changed). Good service. Park right outside. Icelandic prices.....English speaking staff. Large wine/drinks list (for Iceland). Pleasant for lunch or dinner - inside or out (icelandic weather is unpredictable).Dear svc99.Thank you for coming to Humarhöfnin Restaurant and for taking the time to write a review about us.We always appreciate to have some feedback from our guests. We did actually try a new version of our langoustine bisque this summer but soon found out that our old and trusted clientele wanted the old version back so of course we put it right back on the menu with cream and all. You are very welcome to back and try it some other time.Thank you again and best regardsMarÃa.

Open all year round. Pakkhus Restaurant is located by the harbour of Höfn. The menu offers variety of local food from the surrounding environment like lamb, fish, lobster (langoustine) and many other choices.
This was one of the best meals we had while in Iceland and certainly the best lamb we had ever had (you could literally cut it with butter knife)! We also had delicious appetizers and although we didnât have room, the desserts looked delicious! Cozy decor and friendly staff. Must eat place if staying in or traveling through Höfn!

Ishusid Restaurant Pizzeria offers various selection of thin stone baked pizzas, Fish&chips, Lobster Soup and other dishes, using high quality local ingredients. Among other things, the famous local lobster (langoustine) and the Icelandic cod. The restaur
My brother and I were starving after a long day of hiking and driving, and just when we thought all hope was lost for an open restaurant in our price range, this LOVELY pizzeria welcomed us into their doors at 9pm on a Monday. The staff was SO friendly and inviting and the warm atmosphere was international-traveler friendly and I heard many languages spoken between friends. We got our food quickly and it was delicious.

Went there while on vacations in Iceland. What a grate place for dinner. The soup was amazing but the duck we eat later was not left behind. It was such a nice choice. As a cons, I'd say more and better beers would be such a plus ;)
