One of Norways most unique restaurants preparing local food from seasonal ingredients. As guest you have an exceptional view to the kitchen and chefs. Booking in advance only!
At Umami, everything is as it should be. The staff is nice, knowledgeable and very professional, which is good. However, when the food arrives the magic happens. Every little morsel on your plate will taste heavenly; I was sad when I couldn't eat more âº

Our cafe is situated at ground floor, in the center of Harstad, close to the bus terminal. We open for breakfast at 10.00 o'clock and serve breakfast/lunch untill 15.00 o'clock. Our menu board changes the to dinner and we offer almost every day something
I can agree with those who says - Must stop here. I was on a business trip in Harstad last December and we had a business dinner there. This is a place where to taste the food in Scandinavian style and hospitality. We had a set dinner there with a perfect match of wine. Waiter perfectly explained the menu and suggested the best wine for us. I would recommend it!

This place is absolutely worth a visit. I have been in Harstad many times and just discovered this place. It is definitely my new favorite place. The food was great and the waiters gave some really useful tips. Prices are ok and interior is a mix of homey and elegant. The food is a mix of main course and tapas. There is actually nothing more to say, just go ahead and book a table. I ensure you, you will not regret.

A friendly and hospitable host makes guests feel very welcome. We came as a large group and were given first class service.Dinner was composed well and started with dried cod and smoked salmon, moved on to breast of duck and finished off with rhubarb. The food was delicious, genuinely colloquial and had a homemade touch. Well done!

Weâve been lucky to have visited many cities in Norway and until now we had never eaten in an Egon restaurant. Our latest Norwegian adventure took us to Harstad and we decided to give the Egon restaurant a try. We were so pleased with the meal and the great staff, that we went three times. That should tell you everything you need to know. Great food and fantastic, attentive staff. We can thoroughly recommend the Chicken BLT and the Chicken Quesadillaâs - both are delicious. The Mexican burger and Nachoâs were really nice as well. The picture is of two empty plates. If you are in Harstad donât hesitate to try this fab place. On our first night in Harstad we tried the Big Horn restaurant, but never went back, as the fries were very greasy, donât make the mistake that we did!! Go to Egon, you wonât regret it.
