A hungry family found a pirate restaurant and dropped in. We got a table in a terrace and waited a waiter to appear. We waited and waited and waited. Finally she came and gave us the menus, and disappeared - and never came back. We starved and decided to change the restaurant. If you want good service, do not choose this restaurant.
I have always liked Hanko sushi's food; fish is always great quality and their vegetarian sushi is delicious. Usually decor of these restaurants is plain and practical, but this restaurant was gorgeous: there is spacious terrace and you can see the sea.

Tiny and chill place at eastern harbour Marina (östra hamnen/itäsatama). Best terrace with evening sun. Food is excellent and reasonable priced. Fish soup is worth to try and 8,5⬠with "home" baked bread not bad price at all. Pulled pork sandwich was excellent too!

Southern Finland in Hanko harbor, member of Taste of Archipelago group
Makasiini is a lovely, small summer restaurant in the lovely summer town, Hanko, in the utmost southern cape of Finland. Just at the sea, in an old warehouse. Cozy place, amazingly good fish "smorgardsbord", utterly friendly personnel. Downstairs a nice pub with live rock on weekends. If you find yourself at Hanko, which you should, this is the place to eat and have a good time.
