Want wonderful fresh seafood? Gianni Pellerano, the chef, will delight you with yummy delicacies from the sea. We strongly recommend the tasty and tender octopus salad or the amazing linguine with red shrimps. If you are fond of pizza, well they have an incredible variety. Itâs a gourmet pizza, very light and nicely crusty, topped with ingredients produced locally. We had the âu paiseâ pizza topped with EVO tuna, pine nuts, fresh tomatoes and parmigiano. The wines are really very good and from Sardinia. Reading here about other reviews on the service offered, well itâs a friendly, warm, good service. If you are on an Italian island, on holiday, you should expect to be relaxed and not into the mood of the frenetic pace of your regular life. Therefore itâs perfectly normal that you have to think more of what you eat instead to race with the clock. No pre-cooked food here... all made at the moment. They will serve you well and you will enjoy a nice dining experience in the cozy little street of the unique village od Carloforte.Bellissima recensione grazie infinite . A presto Antonello pomata

We ate dinner here on the evening of our 5th wedding anniversary. We were seated promptly, bread and water service were immediate by a friendly server. We had a couple servers our whole meal and all were sweetly pleasant. Many languages are spoken on Carloforte, I used English and Spanish interfluently with some Italian and we all made do just fine.We had the calamari as an appetizer = perfetto.2 complimentary glasses of champagne were sent over during dinner, which was a lovely touch. My husband and I split the insalata mista as well as the lobster spaghetti (the menu states a minimum order of 2 for this dish, and the waiter made sure we knew that, which was nice because I could see how an issue could easily arise from that!). Needless to say, we were stuffed after this meal-- honestly, could have done without either the calamari or the insalata mista... it was all so good, though!Bottom line: wonderful service, delicious food, a festive atmosphere. If we make it back to Sardegna, we will make it back to Carloforte... and back to Ristorante Da Vittorio!

The restaurant is situated on the island of San Pietro, former colony of Liguria, right in the historical centre. Ssummer porch on the main road. We are the third generation of restaurant owners; the cuisine is a mix of Ligurian, Sardinian and Arabic trad
The most upscale place on the island, still with that nice and friendly family atmosphere. Freshness, quality and creativity around those ingredients which come right from the local sea. Tuna interpretation is always at its best with a variety of recipes. This time I tried something different from the usual classic stars of their menu. I had a super fresh ceviche of crustaceans and fish, follwed by a very good Carbonara di Mare (Seafood Carbonara Spaghetti). As main course a wonderful grouper fillet breaded with Carasau (Sardinian thin crusty bread) crumbs and then baked with fresh veggies. Samples tray of a special selection of Sardinian Pecorino cheese followed by two amazing desserts: Cilindro of dark chocolate filled with cream of white chocolate and custard vanilla gelato. Cannolini (little cannoli) filled with fresh ricotta with gelato. I strongly recommend this place, a must try in Carloforte.

This was our first of many great restaurant experiences in Carloforte. The standout dinner was the tuna steak, which was quite raw on the inside. The baked tuna Carloforte was also nice. Service was good and the atmosphere was informal and family friendly. The restaurant is quite popular, so I would recommend reserving a table in advance.

We were bound further down the road at the more famous Andrea. As we entered there we were harshly notified we would not have been sitting at the table before at least half an hour. A more ptofessional crew would have invited to sit down in the lobby and have a white wine in between. This unprofessioal guy threw us out the premises. So we moved back to the center and had a glimpse at this Pescheria and enjoyed a top quality lunch with fish cooked and proposed in an extraordinarily cultivated way, enriched with savory background tales keeping the food far away from chef and cooking showbiz and keeping it where it belongs. Thanks Mario!

We tried as many good restaurants as we could in Carloforte and this one truly deserves the great recommendations it gets. We got the mixed appetizers, which were amazing and had nice variety. I also got a tuna steak, cooked on only one side, which was one of the most amazing seafood dishes I have ever eaten. Service was impeccable and the atmosphere was elegant without being stuffy. Prices are a bit higher than other restaurants in the area, although not dramatically so considering the quality. It is also popular and we had to reserve two days in advance. Highly recommended.
