You are in the heartland now, and you will not get food approximating American or Western European. Face it, but the food is good. Pick what you'll take, it all looks totally strange, and you can't know how it'll turn out. In my experience, it's all good, and if you picked the wrong thing, try something else, it's not expensive, so you pay the pittance for a mistake, but try again. This is the real deal in Russian food, good quality, but not oriented toward tourists' taste. Take a loss and pick another dish, you hear me, if your first choice doesn't work? This food is authentic, seriously.

The interior and the entire surroundings are of Russian character and was only a short walk from the centre and our Hotel. We were served by a waitress in traditional garb, the food was varied and delicious. We shared 2 different mushroom dishes, mushroom dumplings with sour cream and chicken and mushrooms in a cream sauce under a cheesy crust and duck with apple, with a couple of draft beers each, some herb vodkas to finish off a wonderful meal, all up, about 1600 Roubles (about $40 Australian),

Found this very nice. Good food and very friendly service. Tasted different things like pelmeni of elk and Ñи soup made in the oven. Also desert was nice with herbal tea. The bread was good as the selection of three small pies as starter. The fish of the day was very nice. Also liked the baked potatoes with smetana and salmon.We are very happy to hear that you've found our bar to be nice and friendly.We hope, you will be back to ZAVOD-bar next time visiting Russia.

The dishes I took were very tasty and price was good. One time the meat was not warm enough, but the next day it was perfect. It's a bar/restaurant so sometimes there are some people smoking a water pipe next to you.The staff was very friendly and spoke good English. Nice interior. About 1 km from the Kremlin.
