Twenty 8 Food & Spirits is an upscale restaurant & bar featuring regional, sustainable American cuisine with a modern flair that utilizes an exhibition style stone hearth oven to create flatbreads, appetizers and light entrees.
I've reviewed 28 before and it missed on a few items. I recently came back for lunch to get what I thought was the best thing on the menu - the poutine. However, they've changed it or they have a different one on the lunch menu - but what I ordered was the hangover poutine. This was fries, with gravy and cheese - classic poutine. However, they added slices of pork belly and an over easy egg. Now, before I get started - I love an over easy egg - and most of the time it puts a smile on my face - but it just didn't work in this dish for a few reasons. First - the pork belly was to sparing - there needs to be more of it. It needs to be incorporated into the dish not just sitting on top as eye candy. 2nd, the fries were overcooked. I'm not sure if this was done on purpose to hold up to the gravy, but my fires tasted old and recooked to me, and not crisp golden brown like they should be. 3rd, the creaminess of the yolk is fine, but the egginess of the egg throws off the flavors in my opinion. If you want to creaminess, leave in the yolk, but I don't think creaminess is what you search for in a dish like this. The other issue I had at this visit was the wait. There was nobody in the restaurant and it took over 30 minutes to get my food. the staff was very nice and polite letting me know it was on it's way - sorry it's taking so long, etc. not sure why it takes that long to cook fries - but I'm glad I didn't order a steak.Dear TDK44,Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback regarding your second dining experience with us. I have reviewed your comments with both our Executive Chef and our Restaurant Manager so that we can focus on improving in these areas. Thank you again for providing us with your comments.Sincerely,Scott Williams, GM

Family owned busy pub & restaurant specailizing in Seafood, American & Irish dishes. With live music on the weekends and a great beer, wine & liquor selection we have something for everyone
We were undecided about eating in restaurant or bar area. The hostess put up with us changing our minds a couple times. Our waitress was very friendly. I ordered the Grilled Salmon and side salad. My husband ordered the Cowboy Burger. The food came out quickly. My salmon was nicely cooked and seasoned. My husband also liked his burger. The rest of the family enjoyed their selections. We would definitely return.

Taking inspiration from the dockside eateries of New England as well as the Big Apple's many kosher delis, the Blue Fin Lounge bridges the gap with big, hearty sandwiches piled high with the finest meats and cheeses on the Atlantic Seaboard. Our location
We took our grandchildren to see the Easter Bunny at Bass Pro Shoppe only to find that the line was over an hour long. Fortunately, the Blue Fin Lounge appeared. It turned out to be quite good but there were only one or two items on the menu that were fish related. My wife and I had the Hunter Panini that was excellent. It was black pastrami, cheese and horseradish sauce. It was nicely toasted and served with French fries. All in all, a pleasant surprise.

New England football legend Doug Flutie offers a memorable dining experience at Flutie's Sports Pub. It's the place to watch your favorite local teams and all of your favorite sports action! With over 30 LCD screens you will never miss the next great play
The best part of Fluties is the great food! As a sports bar, some table locations are void of a good TV view without turning seat around. I wish they had more, yet in other places, many giant TV's. My Alfredo was excellent as was her Salmon. We would go back.

We've eaten here several times. Consistency is welcome, mostly, with average to good menu items but rather lengthy waits. Busy with seniors, children and in betweeners the menu is large. Stick to the appetizers and sandwiches; the other items run more to average quality.Service is competent, a bit slow but helpful. Good beer choices and reasonable pricing. Quirky, with a balloon 'artist' making table stops where kids are eating (many tables) that gets annoying as they pop and add to what becomes a noisy background.

an early dinner with a friend. discovered their $20 dinner for 2 menu which had exactly what we were looking for. Table side guacamole was fresh and tasty with warm chips. I had the 1/2 portion of baby back ribs with fries..a reasonable portion and my dining companion had the fajitas...a chicken and carnitas combo...nicely cooked, fresh ingredients. Service was excellent. Impossible to beat the price or the experience....

It was a "too hot to cook" night . Ordered supper for five hungry adults that didn't want pizza. Got cheeseburger sliders ( serving was large enough for two people), chili, three diner salads. Order was ready within 45 minutes, well packed for travel. Everything was hot and delicious for eating on the beach. Five satisfied thumbs where all up

Really cute place. Sat upstairs at the "balcony table"....which was lovely until it came time for service....which was really really bad. took 15 minutes to pay the check. She did come twice during the meal to see if everything was ok and then we just never saw her again. We had to go looking for her to pay.My friends all enjoyed their meals...hamburger, turkey dinner, pizza. I made the mistake of trying to go healthy and ordered the haddock with rice and slaw. Slaw was great. Fish tasted like it had been frozen for years and tasted like no haddock I've ever had in my life. Think it was "imitation seafood". Rice must have been cooked last night and then microwaved today because it was hard and congealed. SOOO if you're going...stick to bar food and eat downstairs and you'll be fine...cuz it is a really cute place

Our family came here for dinner with my sisters family and we were a large group and they were able to handle us very well.I had the mixed grill of lamb beef and chicken and it was wonderful. The lamb especially was cooked to perfection and extremely tasty. The steak tips were excellent and the chicken was OK.

We were there pre-concert and enjoyed frosty cold beer and outstanding lobster rolls. The rolls were oversized and absolutely stuffed with large chunks of lobster meat. The dressing was very light and not too much mayonnaise. Also try the onion rings they are very tasty. My husband had the potato salad with his lobster roll. The serving was very very generous and delicious too!
