The Prospect Inn is a family run business, that serves quality food and fine ales, wines and beers. Situated in Weston Village with views stretching across the river Mersey. The Prospect is under new management as of September 2017.
went here with friends. worst meal and service ever had. they have a star rating of 5 . needs to be no more than 0.ttwo of us sent back. cold or not cooked properly. thick skin on mash potato. prawns warm. no sorry from the manager and run by kids. never again.Hi Karen,The issue in question was dealt with on the night a refund was given for the one meal that was complained about. We only received one complaint from the table and the meal was replaced after which all meals were then eaten. No reasoning was given for the meal that was sent back and management were on site but you did not request to speak to them.We feel that the complaint is not valid, if you would like to come in to speak to management then please feel free to pop along.

This is a Pub that does food.
A monthly meeting using different places, we thought why not try a local venue. What can I say, from start to finish the staff were brilliant. Nothing was to much trouble. The waitress went the extra mile to ensure that our evening was a thing to remember. On top of that the food was cooked to perfection, collectively we were that impressed the waitress deserved her tip. Would definitely recommend this little gem to friends

Went earlier today , food fantastic, potential is unreal if thought about , ( just one gripe though ) , the lovely girl that i was running the bar and laying and serving the food , also collecting the empties and clearing the tables was absolutely run off her feet ,and doing all of it alone, it wasn't just today we witnessed this but on most occasions we go in , we feel so sorry for her , the owner's need to give her a triple wage rise to recognise she is doing the work of 3 people , and considering she looks absolutely shattered she never complains , and treats all customers with a smile and great welcoming, she is a gem . .... she deserves top money for what she does otherwise some other lucky employer will be rubbing their hands , another member of staff , even a new young member collecting glasses and serving food to tables is the least the owner's could do to help her .......

Met a friend who lives local for lunch he'd recommended the place before but we never got round to actually getting here.He was as shocked as me when I opened the steak melt, the grissle & fat was half of the sandwich & I'm afraid wasn't cooked as requested as we had waited a fair while it wasn't worth speaking to staff so we left both agreeing it may be a better idea meeting elsewhere in future which is sad as the place looks quite good, as we was leaving we heard someone else complaining about the steak so maybe it may require looking at from within.Hello Tomt1230, we appreciate you taking the time to leave us this feedback. We appreciate all reviews, and appreciate you giving us the chance to improve by providing us with this feedback.

We had afternoon tea and dressed in a Downton Abbey theme. Maxine and Shaun couldn't do enough for us. The food was amazing and plentiful, the service was 1st class and the staff were fabulous. Tom was super attentive. Please visit The Wheatsheaf you wont be disappointed

The Dandelion Tavern, a local Pub and Restaurant in the heart of Cronton Village.
Love this place itâs our go to place for a cracking Sunday dinner 3 courses for £14.95 it is divine! Service is brilliant very friendly staff and attentive. Would recommend this place. Only downside is thereâs limited parking outside but just pull round into the side street.

Had evening meal here. Pie of the day. Nice service , clean, pub and restaurant seemed nice and quiet and no issues. Meal reminded me of a school dinner. Had been sat on the warmer too long. Frozen mushy veg , hard crust on pie with congealed gravy and salty filling. Price was average, as was the entire evening experience.

Ben, Michelle & The Team would like to welcome you to our local family run business. The Crown first opened in the 1840s and has been an important part of the local community ever since. We pride ourselves on being a Traditional Pub serving the Good Stuff
we visited for my birthday 5th sept inst i asked for lamb cooked medium which i got as i asked for, my mistake shouldve asked for med/well don or well done, so no complaints there, the meal in that case for both of us was good,,, however we could hardly speak to each other across our table due to the noise from other diners,, everyone seemed to be shouting and this put me off my visit ,,, to be fair the crown is spotlessly clean, the staff attentive and polite and the meal (apart from my own slip up) was quite good
