We are a Morristown's full service family restaurant and sports bar, located "off the green" in downtown Morristown, NJ.
It's a place that you go to after work to unwind, enjoy some decent discounted appetizers during Happy Hour, drink some Samuel Adams and maybe meet some ladies. I had the Pretzel Burger ($12), Angus beef, American cheese, shredded lettuce, Russian dressing which was all served on a soft pretzel bun. Oh yes, it also came with fries. I won't mention how many Sam Adams. They have a free popcorn machine that is pretty much always refilled and though it is not gourmet popcorn, it's still good.Let me talk about the decor. I hope you like frogs because there are more frogs hanging up on the walls than you will find in a Florida lily pond. After you enter, you are going to find a long corridor which leads to another door. A long central bar awaits you which is surrounded by TV screens, a main dinning hall and to the right a smaller bar with a pool table, shuffle board and dart board nearby. I hope you don not like conversation because if conversation is going on you will not hear it.The Famished Frog is right on the square in Morristown so parking options are limited. Try to find street parking, walk two blocks for free street parking or pay for garage parking about a block away.

Stayed at Sheraton over the weekend and had all meals at Amuse. The service was excellent - all the waitresses and waiters were very friendly and provided great service. Food was good as well. Really loved their salads.

We've been patronizing the Tavern since it opened. The food and service have always been at least at least a 3-star experience, far above the casual chain restaurants with similar menus. However, on weekend evenings, we noticed the management is no longer taking the restaurant and its patrons seriously. The important customers are now the after-party people who've finished the wedding celebrations and are drinking up a storm at the bar. And bringing their drinks into the Tavern, overrunning the customers who are still completing their meals. Last Saturday, there were couples, beer bottles in hand, unapologetically hanging over our booth, others taking selfies beside our booth. Truly, we were hemmed in by drinkers all around us, oblivious to their rudeness. Sadly, management didn't come in to survey the scene. We complained to our server who herself was upset with the situation and said it happens every Saturday night. We gulped down our food and left never to return.Thank you for the review Bevert. I do apologize for the rude guests that were in the dining area with you while you were trying to enjoy your meal with us. If you wouldn't mind speaking a little more in-depth about your experience with me my email is [email protected]. I look forward to speaking with you soon.Jeff LeeManagerGk's Red Dog Tavern

I reveled in the Good Morning Burger (pork roll, fried egg and hamburger) with ho-hum french fries (better if they were fresh cut)$14.00. My spouse enjoyed a steer herder for $14.00 and others enjoyed the Mac and cheese burger and the brie burger all for 14 or $15. We had a very tasty spinach and artichoke dip ($10) and an order of fried pickles for $6.00. All in for four adults and a ten year old for $102.36.Service was superb at the lunch hour; prices were very affordable even in confiscatory Morristown. Food quality was above average but not gourmet. The hamburgers were offered ONLY rare, medium or well. I ordered mine rare and it came medium and my family ordered their's medium and they came well done. I have found that unless one goes to a true high end steak house, the "doneness" is whimsical at best. Same here. In sum, great service, creative menu, good food but not low cal or low fat. Be forewarned but enjoy the decadence.

Recently our friends from South Carolina were in the area and wanted to eat at Thirsty Turtle. We all ate here together years ago before they moved down south. They both ordered Salmon dinners, my wife had a Pretzel Burger and I had the Portobello & Brie Burger. This place hasnât changed much accept perhaps the menu and how much more crowded it is for dinner.

Thought I would try this place out as I was on route 10. It was a drizzly and overcast, cool, day and I thought some stew would hit the spot. Well, this might be the only Irish pub in the world that does not serve any kind of stew. The choices were minestrone soup, French onion soup, or beef chili. The menu is typical American pub fare. The corn beef sandwich was OK but not special, and the portion of french fries were small. I can forgive the terribly slow table service because the staff was clearly shorthanded. Bottom line: you can give the menu items clever Irish names and you can dress the place up with faux British/Irish interior design and serve booze but this an Irish pub does not make.

This off the main road (SR 10) on Mt. Pleasant Road from the outside is mundane and not inviting. Even inside is not particularly exceptional, BUT, the food is the star here. They serve one of the best burgers in the state, praised by many.Just goes to show to find a gem, a little research and exploration will go a long way.

I'm giving Arthur's one star because there is no option for none. We have eaten there many times over the years and enjoyed both food and atmosphere but not for a while. Our recent experience proves the time tested adage that you can't go home again. It's not the old Arthur's. If you want burned greasy food with a bitter taste, poor service and a noise level that drowns out all table conversation, then this is the place for you. As a neighborhood bar it might be fine but if you are looking for a pleasant dinner with friends, look elsewhere!

This authentic Irish pub in New Jersey is located inside Hanover Marriott. Traditional Irish cuisine is served at the Irish pub in Parsippany, NJ that was imported from Ireland and fashioned by artisans to give the pub a genuine feel.
Went here for a business dinner. Food was quite tasty. Beer was great. Decor is entertaining and authentic. Servers were fun and made a business dinner enjoyable. We had a great time. Iâd go back just to sit and relax at the bar. Located just inside the hotel. Lots of parking.
