As the name suggests, this is an informal pub-styled bar in the small town of Butgenbach. We went in for a drink but decided to eat here as well as we were comfortable and the burgers looked good. The âPub Burgerâ is the size of a dinner plate, server in a roll the same size. You donât need fries! There is a good selection of beers and friendly bar staff. There are a number of restaurants in the town, but the food here is good so it depends on whether you want something more formal. In any case, I would recommend visiting here for a drink at least.

My family and I chose Le Grille for a lunchtime stop. The waiting staff were very helpful and spoke a mixture of languages. They were easily able to communicate in a mixture of French and English. It was a very hot day and they were happy to help us move the outside tables into the shade so we could be more comfortable. The food was good and plentiful, four of us had schnitzels with various sauces and our youngest had the biggest bowl of spaghetti bolognaise I have ever seen! All the food was delicious and came with a nicely dressed salad and an enormous bowl of fries. We then had ice cream sundaes which came in huge vase sized glasses! Toilets are inside at the back of the restaurant and down the stairs, they were clean enough.I would use this restaurant again.

We are a group of 2 adults, a preschooler and a toddler. We stopped here for the misty panoramic view across the road and were tempted by the day menu of roti du porc! We asked for the charcuterie and regional cheese platter to start with and went for nice hearty dishes while most order salad or omelette! We enjoyed proper Belgian beer to help wash down our meal :0).I recommend this for nonstop meal service compared to the cafeteria option in the Nature Reserve of the High Fens (close until 22nd August).

We ate two times here during our trip. The first time we had an a la carte platter. My husband took the steak tartare and I took the duck. Both dishes were very good. The duck just fell of the bone, so it was very good prepared. The secong time we took the three course menu. We started with a piece of trout enrobed in seavegtables with a horseradish sauce. Then we had a chicken rolade filled with crayfish and a crayfish sauce, with some young potatoes and vegtables. As dessert we had a mascarpone cream with basil and fruit. All very good at a very reasonable price.Thank you .Best Regards .GERTY
