What a find tucked away in a small alley in Vichy. Having wandered around looking at a myriad of offerings in Vichy we happily settled on Le Vichy. It is a family run brasserie super clean, comfortable, modern with lovely background chilled music creating a great all round ambience. We happily settled on a burger each. My hubby had Eric's burger and I went for the Vichy burger. Real tastie fresh beef beautifully cooked and quite the best burgers we have ever eaten (and we travel a lot). Eric's Le Vichy deserves to be packed just on the quality of the burgers alone although the other plates we saw being delivered looked equally fresh and delicious. The chips were home cooked perfection and the salad fresh as if it had just been picked. It was indeed to us a burger heaven.The above quality all for a fantastic price. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed.

One of the most memorable meal I have had in France. I love the decor, the food was very interesting and very tasty. The front of house man is a real charmer and have great English skills! Will be back again. Do recommend it highly. X

The service here is always very abrupt. It leaves you feeling like you need to know before you arrive what you want. But the food is certainly better than many other choices in Vichy. However, as someone who is not native French I do feel often a level of lower treatment when I am in this restaurant... almost too the point of being rude because my French is not perfect. For example when I ordered a glass of wine I was given no options, but when the man on the table next to me ordered one he was given a selection. When I finished my meal I was almost ushered out the door without the offer of dessert or coffee and I had to actually request a coffee after the bill was just dropped on the table. Not sure why I keep coming back here and I am not sure why others do. Maybe I should stop.
