Reviews on Pub food in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Located in the northern part of the country, high above sea level, Ulan Bator is the coldest capital city in the world. The cultural and business center of Mongolia, and a hub connecting the Trans-Siberian Railway with the Chinese rail system, Ulan Bator has become a thriving urban center in one of the most remote locations in the world. Visit the Tibetan-style Gandan Monastery, one of the few buildings in Ulan Bator to predate WWII and one of the few monasteries to survive the Soviet purge.

Hard Rock Cafe is a global phenomenon with 185 cafes that are visited by nearly 80 million guests each year. The first Hard Rock Cafe opened on June 14, 1971, in London, England, and from there the brand has expanded to major cities and exotic locations a
I came here to have an enjoyable meal with a new friend... the service, as well as the food, were beyond disappointing. I did not get the food I ordered... when I did, it wasnât fully cooked. My friends meal was so burnt parts could not be eaten. To be honest, staff was preparing for a large banquet, but when I complained to management, no real effort was made to remedy the situation. I have been to hard rock cafes around the world... donât waste your time or money on this one. Frustrating and just bad all around

But after I complained the food improved. The waitress was very nice and prompt with the beer. The servings are very big and well worth the money (it is not expensive). Right across the road from Danista Nomad Guest House/ Hostel. Both places recommended

"Turning Point Café has become one of my favorite places in Ulaanbaatar. It is a cozy jazz café conveniently located on Tserendorj Street where they serve an excellent food such as sweet and savory crepe, Panini, soups and salads, a getaway from traditional Mongolian food. There is great music; the last time when I visited the Café I popped into one of the Jazz sessions which I and my friends really enjoyed. We are looking forward for the next session of live music."

Excellent choice of the excellent Belgian beers, covering a wide range of tastes and fermentation techniques.Food is good, but with one major exception: what is called Belgian fries has NOTHING to do with the frites we eat in Belgium, and we would send the chef to jail for selling such a horror under the name of Belgian fries. What you call French fries are in fact the original fried potatoes we love so much, so please change the names and do not insult us !The range of Belgian dishes needs to be increased as well.

Ikh Mongol had some good service and a fair meal deal. The service was good and efficient but the local Altan Gobi beer was flat, disappointing and not all of the beers were available on draught. Any German Pub would serve great and fresh beer. The roasted pork was good but very fatty, roughly half of the three pieces were pure fat. The Mongolian soup was fine and the chicken nibbles okay. The best bit was the meal deal for 22,000mnt which seemed good value for a pizza, chicken nibbles and Altan Gobi beer, topped up again and again. In truth the lamb rib pieces were not tender and as said before the beer was flat and disappointing! The restaurant was seemingly quite popular and quite full by 2 or 3pm.

MB Beer Plus is a brewpub that has been open since 2003. They brew German-style beers and feature Continental food.
I go there often with my friends. The reason to go there is decent place have some own beer with 3-4 different kind. They have Amber, Black Consul-dark beer and yellow beer too. Also their food selection is not bad. Warm atmosphere and good service. Location is good. Price is reasonable.

My friend brought me to this bar located at the ground floor of the Shangri-La hotel. It seems to attract quite an attractive and upscale crowd. The location is almost at the center of town. The name reminded me of the Star Trek movies.

Its located in the same building as the Barilga Mega Store; Phone number 99097716
I joined my colleagues here for dinner. We ate in the back of restaurant in a simulated yurt in the back. The menu lets you go as exotic as you like, from burgers to whole lambs heads. We literally feasted for $30 a person. Worth a visit, although its very heavy food so I would only eat here occasionally if I lived in the city. Thanks for your visit. Hopefully, you can join us again and taste more meals as you like

I was at the hotel for a stop over and decided to try the bar/restaurant. Good food! They were out of the lamb chops, but my grilled chicken thigh main was excellent. The service can be spotty/forgetful, but the prices are reasonable and the wine was excellent.Dear Donald H,Thank you for sharing your dining experience with us! We are glad to hear that our restaurant made a great impression on you! Your kind compliments & constructive comments are much appreciated, we will ensure necessary improvement are made to our service quality.
