Came to the coppers tavern on the recommendation of a few of my work mates and I was not disappointed! The place is a true gem and not to be missed. The choice of beer is outstanding and the pies and cheese options looked amazing. I must say the staff are truly a credit to the owner. I was served by a lovely Scottish girl that greeted me with a smile and continued to chat with me throughout the night between serving. Will definitely be returning soon for another pint and one of those lovely pork pies!

The Jinnie Inn is a traditional village pub located in Rolleston on Dove, near Burton on Trent, Staffordshire. Our comfortable bar area features low timber beamed ceilings and a fantastic open fire in the chilly winter months. We pride ourselves in prepar
It's the first time that I have been to this pub. I read the reviews and I chose this place for a friend and I to go for the roast dinner on Sunday. It was delicious, one of the best roast dinners I've had out - there was only one thing that we both questioned and that was the stuffing that came with the roast pork.It didn't look like stuffing and it most certainly didn't look like any stuffing that I've tasted before. If that had been improved I would have given them 5 stars.Hi Sue,Thanks for the great review and we are really pleased that you enjoyed your visit and meal. With regard to the stuffing, it is something new we have tried and would be better described as a Savoury Thyme Bread Pudding. It would appear to be a bit of 'marmite' item, either you love it, or hate it. It is yet to be decided if it will stay or not, and I will certainly take you comments into consideration. Thanks for the useful feedback and we hope to see you again soon!Kind regards,Simon @ The Jinnie

A spur of the moment decision to visit for lunch as we were driving past. It is a few years since we visited and in those days the meals were very tasty with an excellent carvery. We were delighted to find that today the meals were excellent and the carvery second to none. The quality of the meat was excellent and they were all cooked to perfection. I chose the beef lasagne from the main menu which was very tasty and good value. We will thoroughly recommend this restaurant to our friends and will visit again soon. The staff were very friendly and helpful and very cheerful which was a bonus on a day when the hot weather broke to a downpour.

The Spread Eagle is a beautiful pub, set in the chocolate box village of Rolleston on Dove. The building is a piece of living history. Established in 1651 it is one of the oldest buildings in Rolleston. By coming to The Spread Eagle you'll be experiencing
Great food little disappointed that we arrived at 6.30 and there was no roast Turkey or Beef left but there was plenty of other things to choose from on the menu so was still a great evening, staff are really friendly and helpful. Elpresdente, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at The Spread Eagle!

This is not the Gastro pub I had been anticipating. Must have been an off day for the cook, certainly not the fayre that any decent chef worth their salt would have produced. The MothersâDay lunch was very disappointing. The Goats cheese parcel not parcels as stated in the menu, was certainly not what I had imagined it too be. My lamb was hardly digestible being just like rubber, the chicken not much better. My yorkshire was obviously burnt or at the very least caramelised, the vegetables were not much better... certainly not worth the money spent. We did not stay for the pudding! It wasnât the place we had thought it was, the person booking it got muddled. Will not be returning in a hurry. I would like to inform you that the pub is under new licencee and manager, as you can see fro the last two reviews we have improved drastically, it would be great if you would give us another try.

A hidden gem, looks like an ordinary pub serving pub grub, but in fact it has a separate restaurant which serves wonderful food. Great choice, locally sourced produce, home made desserts. Very nicely presented plates and good helpings. Pleasant service.Al
We booked up for a midweek evening meal to celebrate my daughters 15th birthday. There was 11 of us (old and young) and we were not disappointed. Great choice of excellent tasting food and good beers brewed on site. Darren, Gill and their team could not have done more. We all enjoyed our meal in a relaxed environment (hope we weren't too loud!) and nothing was too much trouble.Having read other reviews it looks like The Roebuck is becoming the place to celebrate family events! See you again soon I hope!

This is a friendly, very cosy pub serving a nice selection of quality ales with a restaurant at the back. I am not qualified to comment on the restaurant as I have not eaten there, but I can say the pub is welcoming and the beer good.

First time visit with friends and found it busy with a good friendly atmosphere. We managed to get a seat and were asked what we would like to drink with reference to blackboards on the wall. We all selected Gates Burton Ale (a favourite or mine) and it was really good as expected. This is a real alternative to a traditional pub and should be experienced.

Booked a table which was ready for us on arrival, staff friendly and attentive and gave excellent service throughout the evening.Starters and main course were all served well within an acceptable time frame, the food was excellent and was good value for money, the wine list was varied and not outrageously expensive. We will visit again.Hi Y1303EOpaulg.
